OMG! My Clickbank Sales Started Rolling Again!

Hi Warriors!

Recently I've been slightly complaining about my CB sales. It even came to the point where I stopped actively promoting CB. However, since we all know that Clickbank is one of the biggest marketplaces for us marketers, I decided to follow the advice of some warriors here and just simply created a new account.

What I did to check things out is that I only promoted a single item. (sorry I won't tell what it is)

I did my usual SEO techniques and was able to rank several pages for the product in google.

But since I was only testing it. I really didnt gave it much attention. Since I'm earning decently with my writing gig, I just let it be for a few days..

But when I checked the account today..well I was surprised! I had well over a hundred in there..and very good hoplink to form submit ratio...in fact it was almost 100% and that is just for two days!

Now..this is where I'm confused..I don't know if I got the sales because the product is hot and I was able to rank several sites on page one or my creating a new account has something to do with it.

Anyway, My faith in Clickbank is restored

All the best,

Omar

Your success with a new account only proves there is still something very wrong with CB.

Wow that's really a good surprise for you
I have actually moved away from promoting product in Clickbank to PayDotCom, just no much success for me in clickbank. The payment is slow and the cheque clearance is slow too. I have to wait for around 1 month to get the cheque deliver to Singapore and another 1 month for the bank to clear the cheque.

A pain in the xxx for me

    Hey man, congratulations.

If you are just selling one product and one website it is very easy to change accounts, but if you have like a lot of sites that point to the product it is quite hard to change all those links.

Mine haven't been doing so well either of late. It's sad looking at $0.00 all the time

Yeah bro..My previous account was promoting more than a hundred..

But with this new account I tested just a single product.

Honestly I think its the SEO and being in the first page of a hot product that is the reason. I just can't discount the fact that I'm also using a new account.

I could easily test the new account theory by substituting the links to use the old account but I think I'd rather not touch it now that its moving again..

Again, it could be the SEO but I would now also recommend that you get a new account and use it to promote new products..as for the old ones I guess you could just leave it be..

This is just my honest opinion warriors

      All the best,

There was a huge "conspiracy" going on some months ago... where folks would see there CB sales pretty much come to a halt, but then pick right back up after they created a new account, and changed their hoplink (of the same product) to point to their new account.

Do a search and you'll find it... pretty interesting.

The thing is that you really can't know for sure why your sales started coming in, unless you put in your new account once again..

    However, congrats on the sales

        Yeah Harvey,

I do think it's more of the SEO and the hot product..Coz the new account theory is just plain illogical.

But since I feel lucky with the new account and it's there already, I'll just use it from now on

You can agree that it's a coincidence as ClickBank have stated.

              That's fine with me.

Or you can believe it's a problem with ClickBank

              That's also fine with me.

              In fact it's even better.

I urge everyone to open lots and lots of new accounts.

Then in a few weeks time come back here and say
              Harvey

You're right it's not made a blind bit of difference.

I've now got lots of accounts which don't meet
the Customer Distribution Requirement so I can't get
paid and they are soon going dormant so fees will
              be drained from my account.

What an idiot I've been, why didn't I listen to you

              What can I do ?

I'll then direct you to my free book ClickBank
for Newbies (no link) which solves this problem
              - and get a surge of new readers

                Harvey,

No offense man - I like a ton of your posts

But, you wouldn't utter a bad word about clickbank if they kicked your dog...I think that is pretty obvious at this point.

I personally have no clue what is going on with CB and on the same personal note, could care less.

                This is what I know:

Account number 1 gets 1000 visitors a day which translated to about 12 sales a day for almost a year.

                then one day...

Account number 1 gets the same 1000 visitors but not a single sale.

                This goes on for week.

Being the bright guy I am...I open account #2 and redirect my links.

Account #2 then gets the same 1000 visitors and the same 12 sales a day.

Imagine my surprise when account #2 runs dry for a week or so...and I open account #3.

                Guess what happened?

Account #3 got the same 1,000 visitors and same 12 sales..

It very well could be a coincidence, I guess...

Just send the information to ClickBank with the details.

They would like to check it out.

Meanwhile for others I'll make another attempt to convince you.

                  A post I made a while back

                  ================================================== ===========
I'm sure you've seen ClickBank affiliates saying that their
sales had slumped but as soon as they used a new ClickBank
                  id they started off again.

While ClickBank deny there is any problem with their system
I've been able to unearth some interesting information.

I've got a copy of the program source code which handles the
                  processing.

Now rather than show you the actual code which not everyone
will understand I can show you the comments used to document
                  it.

** Customer payment received and verified
** Ok, send him to the download page
** Look up vendor account, add his share of the sale
** Look up affiliate account, add commission
                  ** Sale complete

But now look at another section of the code, it starts off
                  the same

** Customer payment received and verified
** Ok, send him to the download page
** Look up vendor account, add his share of the sale

                  but then ...

** Look up affiliate account ... hey cannot locate it ??
                  ** What's going on here ?

** Ok .. send message to computer operator
** Program pausing for 10 minutes while operator
** is fetching on old server from the archives

** 10 minutes up. Run search on old server
** As expected, affiliate account FOUND

** A known bug, this is an OLD affiliate account and
                  ** we can't update it

** Solution: pretend it is not an affiliate sale, add commission
                  ** to the vendor account

                  ** Sale complete

I hope that clears up the mystery. Note also that the 10
minute gap is the reason why you sometimes see that the
                  ClickBank stats don't update instantly.

                  ================================================== ======

Now that thread was eventually removed.

I wasn't given the reason but lots of people actually
believed it - so maybe it was done to prevent confusion.

A bit like the Orson Welles radio broadcast in 1938 of
War of the Worlds when people believed they were being
                  invaded.

Maybe readers really did believe that ClickBank stop
their system to send an operator to fetch a tape from
                  the basement.

                  Crazy ?

                  Well I'm not really surprised

Some readers believe every single anti-ClickBank post they read

I wish I would have known about ClickBank 7 years ago...

Mine is a few years old, but it still gets sales too. I tried the "new account" method earlier this year for a month, and there was no discernible difference. No sales magically appeared after I changed to the new ClickBank ID.

Still think that having your own product is better, be it clickbank or paypal.

I see experts posting here and I am by no means an expert ( at least for now ) but I have also tried to open a new account before and changing all my links to the new account but no sales.

I did it was a blog in the forex trading niche. The site was getting over 50 visits per day from google and all the keywords where product related keywords but to my surprise I am still yet to make any sale(s).

I was promoting 3 forex products : fapturbo, forex ambush 2.0 and forex megadoid.

I would like to ask some of the gurus here in this thread, i am selling one clickbank product and i have like 5 order submit form hits, which tells me that the order form was submitted 5 times. However, those 5 times did not result to any sales, i contacted clickbank and asked them if there is anything wrong with the link or the vendor and they said everything was ok, so i just let it be and put it under experience.

Now when i logged in, there it is again, another order submit form hit and no sales. I am getting really pissed at this, can anyone explain to me whats happening. Or should i just change the hoplink by creating a new account?

I really, really would consider this an urban myth with the "new account". You can try, but i doubt it will change anything.

So you haven't tried changing your hoplinks George? Do you have any idea why the submit order form doesn't result to sales?

If any warriors would like to test this 'new account' thing, then you can use the following php (got it from another forum), to randomly select a hoplink:

    <?php
    $urls = array("http://hoplink1.com",
    "http://hoplink2.com");
    $url = $urls[array_rand($urls)];
    header("Location: $url");
    ?>

Point the outgoing link to a php file with the code in it. Then this will randomly pick a hoplink between the old and the new account. That should in theory show if there is any problems, since the traffic will be the same and only the hoplink will be different.
