Hi, I'm curious about something.

For those trying to earn money online, what "formats" are you using to accomplish your goal?

For example, are you a service seller? Or an affiliate/CPA marketer? Or do you sell infoproducts? If infoproducts, which type do you sell such as small reports, full blown ebooks/books, membership site, audio/video, or other? Or do you sell physical products like in an ecommerce shop/dropshipping?

No links or promotions please but do tell us what you are trying to sell.

      Do you use drop shipping to sell the physical products? Have you tried any other methods?

    Besides being a domainer and web developer right now
    I am selling digital download/print on demand products
    where the orders are processed without my involvement.
    I write and create digital products and other things.

    I am engaged in several other businesses but mostly
    affiliate marketing to earn multiple streams of passive
    income.

    I have cracked the code on that.

    Mark, I would be happy to answer this, however, I'm a bit confused about what format means to you...g

    Since, I've done almost all of it...with info products, there is a lot of crossover (or could be) with physical products. An example.

    Many years ago I gave golf workshops, recorded them and sold cassettes...these then became CD's...and then, ON DEMAND, via a 3rd party, where it was all hands off except for the promotion...like with LULU.com.

    Information can be delivered in so many formats, and physical products are just one more way to get them out there.

    Well, people can specialize and niche down as they want, but I've always had the broad spectrum of information, including all you mentioned.

    A one page HOTSHEET can be bundled with others to make a small report, which can be combined with others to create a workshop, course, or build a membership site. I would encourage everyone to NOT limit the ways your information can be sold.

      I remember being so impressed several years ago when you were offering a free hotsheet here. I forget the content now, but I loved the idea of short, easy to digest information. Nowadays, there are companies selling these 2-6 page laminated hotsheets and seemingly making a bunch of money. There's a Warrior who sells 1 page hotsheets through W+ and she's always getting hundreds of sales.

          Here, at WF, I'm mostly REsponsive, seldom post my own OP (I do, but mostly mind forum)...that being said, I am here and gladly answer questions when asked.

          My biggest whine about Warriors, is, they are stubborn and often bullheaded and rather than take the good advice here, they prefer to stretch their journey out by a couple of years.

          The Warriors hitting the magical 10K a month income level, after five years or so, I ask, why couldn't you have done it in two? And most of the time, the answer whether they say so or not is:::

          they, like Ol Blue Eyes hisself, wanted to do things their way. Which is fine, but newbies don't need to spend 5, 7 or god forbid, more than that to get to a sustainable income level.

          Best shortcut? HEED the advice of those who have gone before, and here, we have a lot of old world mixed with new age IM success, don't we?

            I agree. There's really no excuse not to be able to figure
            something out with all the resources, methods, tutorials,
            and platforms that are available today. I think that most
            of the newbies end up not doing anything because they
            are afraid of making decisions, or too afraid of failure to
            even try anything. They also tend to overcomplicate the
            simple methods that have been proven to work for ages.

    Hi Mark,
    I am selling a Physical Product and purely using Social Media to build my business.
    I tried selling via E-Books in the past, but didn't have much success.

    Social Media seems to be the way to go in this era online.

    I build directory sites. Mine are pretty high tech with a lot of custom coding. However, whenever I'm researching niches I keep coming across this guy who builds business listings type sites and every month he seems to launch into another niche. You know the types of site - those who charge businesses to get listed in a directory for hairdressers in Ohio, nail bars in New York etc. etc.


    I guess the best opportunities here are in non-US, non-English language sectors. Just be sure to keep your directory up to date and you could also use article marketing to bring in traffic.


    Alternatively make a directory of people who are experts in something - I've seen software that allows you to do this. Maybe you can do something related to your day job?



    My previous online businesses: in 2002 I created some software tools and sold them online. That was VERY lucrative. In 2010 I switched to blogging, which was also VERY lucrative until Google Panda/Penguin arrived.

    I have been absent for quite a while because I have been flat out with work.
    I'm back for a while as my work has gone very quiet for the first time in years.
    I will answer your question but please tell me if you think it's a promo as it's not my intent.

    Now to your question: As for formats, I guess WORDS would be the umbrella format I work with.

    I provide services by writing articles, blog posts, website content, eBooks, tangible books and anything else that people want.

    I also offer an editing/proofreading service where I cast my expert eye over practically anything, as long as it isn't too technical.
    I have had customers from numerous countries, and edited a few number 1 Best Sellers.

    In addition to all that, I offer a service where I can revamp people's resumes, cover
    letters and key selection criteria (along with advice if required).


    That's about it in a big nutshell.

      You should be able to get all sorts
      of freelance work, if you wanted it.
      But you probably already know that.

    I recently started as a service seller of social media marketing and so far the format that works for me are engaging posts on social media. You need to interact with people and on regular basis. I am not an expert in it but that really worked for me.
    Other form is paid advertisement which can be done on targeted platforms.

    If I speak for the place I work for, we use organic, PPC (Social Media + Google) and Affiliate channels to earn revenue.
