0 Sales on Clickbank High gravity woodworking product with 400+ Hops with targeted traffic.

Hi Experts,

I have been trying to promote Clickbank product via FB ads - Link Clicks ad type. The CTR is above 17% and I have targeted it to the right audience set in USA, AU and CA. Even after getting almost 400 Hops there are 0 Sales. I am using the affiliate landing page directly and it has very good conversion rate.

What might be going wrong here. I have spent almost 100$ in 3 days now.

It could be a number of things:

    - The temperature of the traffic - meaning if they have no idea about woodworking, they're aware of the problem, or they know you, and are just looking to buy.

    - It could also be the traffic - might not be buyers but tyre kickers
    - Might be that the sales page doesn't convert. Has it had sales, does it have a decent gravity?

You may be better sending the traffic to your list, then sending that traffic to the offer, after warming it up?

I agree with Martin. Also, people on Facebook are scrolling through their newsfeed and liking memes, not actively looking for a solution to a problem they have right now. You are targeting people who are a few steps before buying if they're even in the process of thinking about buying what you offer at all.

Unless you know what you're doing, I recommend that you
end this FB ad campaign. Try to figure out free methods of
promoting your affiliate offers like blogging or YouTube.
Stop wasting money on things that don't work for you.

Does the sale page have an email opt in form?

If yes, your prospects join the seller's list and buy from the seller's emails and you get no credit.

    Sorry,
Your business model is simply wrong.

You are targeting a single product.
You are sending cold traffic to a sales page
Paid traffic direct to a ClickBank product will almost never give you a positive return.

I know you said "targeted traffic" but that simply means you are trying to filter out people not interested in woodworking using your ad content and possibly geo targeting. This traffic may be "slightly" targeted but not lazer targeted.

All traffic costs a lot of money these days. That is simply due to competition for traffic. As a newbie you will NOT have the skills to beat experienced marketers. They will create a much higher return on their ad investment partly due to experience with ads and partly because they have a large backend funnel that will pay them more than a single product. This means they can bid or pay more for their traffic.

To make any paid traffic work for affiliate marketing you will need to capture emails. Build a list and then market to your propects via that list.

That way they will be getting traffic/offers from someone they know (over time) and you can promote as many products as you want to the same "traffic".

That way if one offer does not convert another may. And many (if happy with the products you promote) will buy more products from you.

On the specific question about 400 hops and no sales...No-one will know unless they have all your ad stats and hop data and sales pages etc. Even then it may not be possible to say why you are not making any sales.

Often it's best to just accept it does not work and move on. If you build a list that is very easy to do at no extra cost to you.

You did a great job breaking that down in a way that anyone
      could understand.

People get the impression that they will make bank running
FB ads because of the success stories they may have read
on other forums, the internet or in a how-to book somewhere.

There are people who claim they made $250K running ads for
thirty days but what they don't say is that they had a $5K per
day ad budget. Also that the offers they pushed were higher
priced, they were real affiliate offers, not digital products from
CB or Digistore. I'm not saying CB or Digi aren't real offers,
it's just that some of their products are just plain spammy
and people aren't going to buy them.

FB's traffic is rubbish. Consumers mostly trust Brands with deep pockets to interact with. But it is funny seeing the competition invest thousands and then vanish off the map.Blind leading the blind? Monkey see, monkey do syndrome?

haha my friend, if it would be that easy to make money as an affiliate everybody would be already rich by now. Just grab a product from clickbank and direct paid ads to it yaaay moooneyyy haha

as others already told you it simply doesn't work like that. You almost always need to create some kind of relationship with your audience. Provide some free value upfront so that people start liking and trusting you. Then sales will happen automatically.

Try sending them to a squeeze page instead and write up a quick "Top 25 Best links for Woodworkers in 2021" report to get them on your email list.

Or just a simple landing page with your free report/video as a bonus for buying right now. Or landing page with one free report no opt in required with 3 additional super reports for opting in the next 3 hours only.

Or you could send them from FB ad to Your amazing woodworking FB page with loads of tips and great free information. Lots of value and then you can add some links to your recommended Solution for all the plans they could ever use.
