Adult website: how to build traffic

The premise:

- I have a personal adult website (I am transgender)
- I write erotic stories and I use Patreon to monetize
- My visitors come from Facebook and remain on the website for a long time

The questions:

- How could I get traffic from Google?
- Why is Google not ranking me better based on the session duration and the relatively low bounce rate?

I do not link the website because I do not know if it is possible.

  • You should run a site audit using pingdom to help reveal your sites glitches .

    It would help if you link back to your content amd link out to others as well but make sure the content is quality.

    The algorithm is always changing but you have to monitor and maximize opportunities for on page and off page seo .

    Document or create good content tweet it podcast about it repurpose some your content into ebooks or pdfs or slide shares to get more traffic .

    Those are just few tips toi can expiriment using

  • Also, are you using google analytics to get your stats or are you running the searches yourself to see where your pages show up. if the latter then make sure your search settings allow for adult sites

  • Google does not rank you because nothing is telling you your pages are popular. You need backlinks.


    You need to be mentioned on other sites.


    Since you're using Google analytics, you know some of the keywords people use to find your site. Get backlinks with those keywords as anchor text, and you'll rank higher for those keywords and, therefore, get more traffic.
