Pirated article rewritten but not really

If I had a spare $400 I would consult a lawyer about this, but since I don't, I am going to just ask this general question here:

I had written an article and posted it at EZA. A competitor pirated this article and rewrote it, just barely.

So when I made a few changes to my article (unaware that it had been pirated) and resubmitted to EZA, they found duplicate content on the 'net and suspended my account.

Well, I got my account reinstated, but it bugs me that someone can take my article like that and change a few words around and claim it as their own.

Do I have *any* rights to go to the webmaster and ask them to take it down or attribute it to me? I already wrote to them once and they are not responding. It just doesn't seem right!

Thanks in advance.

  • It's all about proof. all you can do it write ezine articles and ask them to investigate.

You can also write any affiliates the person is promoting and tell them this person is ripping you off. If you become a thorn in their side they simply steal from someone else.

What doesn't work is paying lawyers, because only lawyers make money not you or anyone else.

Monsanto Chemical sues people all the time even when they are in the wrong because they know they have the money to bankrupt the other party just by the court process.

The Law is for the Wealthy. Your only recourse is to figure out how you can make money on your own.

Life is not fair, and there are few ethical people in the world of IM. Sorry but that's the truth.

Feel free to steal any of my articles because I embed the SHI% out of them with cloaked links, and if you want to take the time to remove all those links then more power to you!

I hope the last comment will help you understand what I'm getting at.
