If your marketing is not in place by now - you need to focus on next year.

This is going to be a challenging shopping season for online and offline sellers. Backups/delays in product deliveries have become far too common and expected to continue to be a problem. There may be no way to KNOW if the items you are selling will be available for shipment...unless you stock the products you are selling.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

Delays will exacerbate with the holidays fast approaching as well.

Black Friday is 30 days away Christmas may be 60 days out, but the reality is for those of us that sell physical product that number is really more like 45.

At this point for my business' I wont have inventory, and if I do, I will not be participating in anything that suggests a discount... Because of supply issues this year, things will be much different.

I was in Home Depot this morning and they are putting out their "seasonal" winter holiday Gift Centers... There are actually some items I noticed that are marked up in price compared to the differently package exact same item that sits on their shelves.

If you are selling "Info Products" inventory is infinitely available right? so things may not change so much... But I might suggest that the tactic of a "Holiday Sale" may fall flat this year. I would be learning, understanding, and focusing on how your info product is an investment into ones future and be charging MORE for it - because the market is in a position to allow for it, and YOU CAN.

Retailers deciding to open up the Black Friday Sales all month long are paying off allowing them to sell much more than they could have stocked and sold in just two days. Regardless if you did not plan anything for your business it is never too late just start taking action now and you will still Nab plenty of customers

My holiday 2021 PREPARATION started the day after Halloween of 2020, when we invested in a lot of "left over" and overstock Halloween make-up and masks...which we sold out of last month at 5 to 8 times what we paid for it. Amazing? Hardly, it happens every year.

So does your question, always about 10 days before Black Friday it is the are you prepared for the holidays question, as has been asked for 20 straight years, yours does allow for PREPARATION that has been made, so good for you.

And as Kay pointed out, it is pretty last minute, although NOT impossible, but highly improbable anyone is going to make a lot of money with a week or two of preparation.

savidge4 is right on as always, this year, GOING UP on the price escalator with information, BECAUSE, as he points out, its value is on the elevator.

But adjustments had/have to be made. A report on buying and selling, for example, might want to address our inflation, the coming higher gas prices, the POTENTIAL for a repeat of 1977 of sorts, a Jimmy Carter type admin...and what came with it. So, a look at history might give clues to information adjustments for those of us selling it.

Even something as mundane as HOW TO PROFIT FROM THE SUPPLY CHAIN CLUSTERMESS...ala Howard Ruff days, a little doom and gloom goes along way to selling information. Or on the flip side, a little Annie style sunshine, which apparently is due out tomorrow...all is fodder for the cannons of the infopreneur, who can turn on a penny (having picked up the dime and replaced it with the penny), who is on top of current affairs and has planned to be in the market when the green and red lights replace the orange pumpkins and the turkey leftovers.

It is a good time to PREPARE for next holiday season.
