Keto Leads Don't Convert

Hi Guys, I started promoting a keto guide offer with low commision (17$) from digistore24. the prices for the leads are pretty good (0.2$-0.5$) per lead. But...
No conversions on the offer even though it 2nd on digistore.
I collected so far 550 leads and also try to promote weight loss offers like pills in the emails but so far not even one conversion.
The funnel giving them a cookbook with 21 recipes for keto for their email, and the targeting in general is women 35% from USA, UK, CA & AU that interested on Ketosis & Weight Loss.
Any tips and opinions? thanks in advance.

Keto (and most internet diet fads) is a religion. If you don't sell it as a religion, it doesn't sell.

Anything with keto in the title will struggle to pass the spam filters. And even if you do get through, promoting more than one offer in the email is not the greatest of tactics.

Don't jump on a bandwagon just because you think others are having success. Concentrate on understanding your market and bringing actual value to your prospects.

It dilutes your message, confuses your prospects and depicts you as an opportunist rather than an authority.

I wonder how much you know about the diet product industry....people buy a diet or diet product because the sales copy convinces them 'this product is THE answer to your problem'.

If your sales copy is telling them 'this product is the solution to your problem' and then goes to say 'or this product or this pill or this other pill'....it's not believable.

First off this is how some of us see your posts. Since your in the Modern view. We do not know who you are responding to. If you highlight your name and see a drop down box. Please switch to classic view. Once you do that quote the posts. You want to respond to.

Your targeting Women do you know anything about your targets ? Do your adds actually appeal to them ?Just saying they are interested in Keto is one thing. Actually looking start a Keto diet is another.

When it comes to posts about Keto here 99% of the posts are deleted as out right Spam. Sending someone a cookbook with a offer to buy pills. Is a big part your problem right there. Why should anyone trust you?

So, if you guys don't recommend it as a good way to promote diet pills, what would be a better way? because the comissions in the keto info space are like 17-47$, and in pills could get to 100-170$ which seems more lucarative for me.

Personally giving you advice may not help you at all. I prefer selling physical products. Diet Pills and Keto have absolute zero appeal. I question the commissions on the Diet Pills because of Digi stores reputation around here..

Just a FYI - Never promote recipes for Keto then throw a ad in for diet pills. You broke all trust right then and there. Also know your market, I take your a guy and not female.

Any how I would promote the Diet Pills as vitamin supplements. Since your targeting Women. I would try to learn about my target Market as much as possible. Probably hire a female writer to write all the copy. Steps - First send paid traffic to a web page. Like your currently doing. The web page would be written by a Copywriter to warm the prospect up to turn them into a buyer. Have a option to buy button at the very bottom of the page. Not one of the steps leads you away from promoting Diet Pills. You could have a side bar for email sign ups on the side. Strictly about a offer for more information.

However personally, would suggest what others have said here. Learn about Keto first. . Follow what savidge4 said in this thread about Keto and what he said in post 205 page #5 in the thread linked below. Your most likely have better success going that route. https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...houghts-5.html

So think of it this way... they see a link and click it, and that is obviously working because they are getting to your landing page. The landing page is obviously working because you are getting e-mail address'. So why are they not converting? I will guess the Link or bait as it is called is related to recipes. The landing page is again related to recipes... at this point everyone is a happy camper.. then the get an e-mail, and I will more than bet there is no recipes.

The expectation has to match through out your funnel right? 3 steps: #1 bait-recipe, #2 Lander-Recipe #3 Email sequence-Recipe.

If you break expectations, where ever the expectations are not met your funnel wont function. So I am guessing that #3 Email Sequence-Recipe is your weak link.

I personally do stuff in the Keto space. I used this website ( https://ketomillenial.com/keto-chart...for-beginners/ ) and its "charts" as a guide to create my own charts and use them in my e-mail sequences. I would suggest doing the same... AND start including recipes in your e-mail sequence, and pre sell the product ( what ever your selling ) as an add on to proper diet. And pay attention to what Frank Donovan said above... One single product - and make that product a add on to the recipes.

    Hope that Helps!

Where are you promoting it? Both Digistore and Keto have a bad reputation, deserved or not, because of spammers.

We immediately delete and permanently ban anybody that mentions Digistore or keto pills or related with no warning or second chances. This is because we've been overrun several times and it is an ongoing thing.

In this case as well as many others, people on the up and up trying to run a legitimate business with legitimate marketing techniques get hurt by the actions of others.

Having said that, keto is a real thing and there is a lot of opportunity there. You just have to find out how you can do it legitimately, using acceptable techniques, and add value to people's lives.

I've always thought that promoting keto primarily to the weight loss market is misguided. It positions you squarely in the midst of the murky and crowded world of opportunists and charlatans with their diet pills and magic potions.

Far better, IMO, to focus on the health aspects of a low carb diet - with weight loss as a by-product - and sell it as a way of life rather than just another quick fix.

Once sold on it, there's a never-ending demand for recipes, as well as general food and lifestyle tips, as savidge4 says above.

Like I said in my previous post, I am in the Keto space. I personally do not deal with diet pills or the like. I deal with consumables within the space, coffee being one of them. There are some decent affiliate programs for meats. I recently upgraded a site of mine to include a pretty comprehensive Amazon Affiliate food store, and it took off from day 1.

Having read this thread, I am now thinking we will add "Recipes" in the mix, with links to the ingredients.

I personally am a FIRM believer in letting the content sell itself. Its a matter of finding the direction of the content to best serve the reader. Using tools like I left a link for, in how to replace "Bad Foods" for "Good Foods" is GOOD content. Share methods like the "How to order from Starbucks" info is again GOOD content. Once you develop TRUST with your audience, and you say hey check out my store that offers Keto friendly shopping choices... its a dead easy sale.

So now your thinking.. ok I want to set that up.. and fine, ill tell you how. you need 2 things; #1 You need a WooCommerce theme, and I personally use "WooCommerce Storefront" and I would suggest if you are not so familiar with wordpress and woocommerce USE THIS ONE ( storefront ). For a whole lot of technical reasons it is the most stable woocommerce theme you can get your hands on. To use anything else is simply a headache waiting to happen

#2 you NEED "WP All Imports" You will want the "WooComm Import Package" and I am not about too say its cheap, but its $149.00 one time, and WORTH EVERY PENNY. Once you watch a bunch of videos etc and learn how to set this up, WP All Imports will import all of the items you want into WooComm from amazon ( and keeps your inventory up to date - automatically ), It then allows your end users to shop around your site IE add items to a cart. Once they are done and click on check-out, is when things transfer over to Amazon for payment. Its a SUPER slick setup. There is no OBVIOUS way to tell the site is an "Affiliate site" other than the Affiliate site disclaimer you have posted because you are following Amazons TOS rules.

The setup is simply a game changer.

        Hope that Helps!

So if instead of leading them just to one offer, you suggest to open an "affiliate" store. and your traffic to this store comes from ppc? or only seo at the time? and if yes from fb/other ppc method, what is the funnel?

First off it may not be right for you.. I have been doing this for a whole lot of years. If you are just starting... setting up an affiliate store is not the easiest thing to do.

That disclaimer being said... SEO and PPC... having a LIST can make this a whole lot easier. I believe you said you are getting e-mail sign ups for .02 to .05 each? Thats a BARGAIN. I have projects where my onboarding expense is in the 10's and 40's and over 100's of dollars per name

In terms of my funnel, most all funnels are exactly the same, Bait, Lander, Offer. or as I have suggested; Recipes, Recipes, Recipes right? BUT like in this case specifically... you are going to offer recipes, you are going to give recipes, and then you are going to create a e-mail sequence that gives recipes... the OFFER in my case is a store that offers Keto friendly ingredients.

The longer they stay on the list and get the free recipe content the more likely they will eventually click on the store link, and hopefully buy. The information provided, and the "product / service" being offered parallels each other right?

Like I said I have been doing this a whole lot of years... getting into a niche and then offering a product, you can only do this for so long, and at some point you have to change the offer... and change the offer, and change the offer right? Its a LOT of work.

Over the years I have learned to develop a List that parallels a never changing offer, and simply provide e-mails that are consistent to the bait lander offer process they signed up with. It gets to the point that you develop a format for the content, its takes minutes to "write" an e-mail, and I can sit down in a days time and write out an entire years worth of e-mails that will go out.

I no longer chase product after product after product. I basically create EVERGREEN offers, makes life so much simpler.

            Hope that helps!

That is some detailed helpful strategy from Savidge4!

Since you are not afraid to invest budget into traffic have you tried connecting with Social Influencers in your niche for "ShoutOuts" and also some have cross platform audience reach as well including email lists.

Facebook, I have 3 step funnel, taking their email address, than taking them to an article that tell about 8 benefits of being keto, and in the end of this article they are being led to a product which offer a custom keto diet.

Are your ads for a Keto cook book or for the product buoy are promoting. Should be for the cook book.

If they're for the product, from the user's perspective, it looks like this:

I was sold a Keto product on the ad only to get to a page that sells me some more on the Keto product. I was sold, so what is going on? Do these guys even have that Keto product? Ooo ooo a free cook book for Keto people. Lemme get it.

They get it, but do not trust you.

Then, you send them email messages to buy this, this and that product.

All Keto-related, I hope, but people but from people/outfits they trust and all you've done is waste their time and positioned yourself as not trust-worthy.

Sell the cook book with the ads. Sell the product you're promoting in your email. Once they buy the product, move them to another list, where you sell them other things.

Sell them other things in the unsubscribe page.

Keto diet pills are bullshit. Junk science. The whole "crux" of keto is that, by eliminating carbs, your body burns fat instead of carbs. No "pill" can do that. You eliminate carbs. It can only be achieved via an elimination diet. Otherwise the "science" is bullshit.

Lol, if I can take magic pills, chances are good, the science is pure bullshit.

It's the worst kind of bro-science still kicking around.

Maybe...just Maybe the leads the you have dont like to take pills...but at .2-.5 per lead it looks like the love to cook/eat maybe you can find a keto cooking video course to sell to them...whatever you do dont change the ead magnet 550 leads is precious and you may not find another cost per lead like that again

Keto is a popular niche (five minutes on Facebook or YouTube will verify that.)

However, Keto diet pills sound sketchy to me. Keto is mostly about which foods to eat and which to avoid. How do diet pills enter into that choice? In short, I would avoid selling diet pills.

Also, as Frank pointed out, selling multiple products at once is a terrible idea. You can sell other products on the backend, but not at the same time. It confuses the prospect.

With all that out of the way, it's likely one of two things is the root problem (perhaps, both).

Either the Keto product (ebook?) you're promoting is a poor choice, or you sales copy is very poor. With 550 leads, you SHOULD have made some sales.

My question is, did you write your own sales copy? If so, I'm going to guess that's probably the issue.

Lots of things can go wrong with amateur copy: It can fail to persuade, it can lack clarity, or it can have problems with the language itself -- such as phrasing, word usage, spelling, grammar, or punctuation.

If we could see one or more of your emails, that would be helpful.

It might not be the product and price it could very well be your email marketing campaign . You should tweak your email copy and or headlines. You can also try incentivizing your list .Warming your list up before you come out and ask for the sale

I would have to take a look at your email campaing to see exactly what is what .What is your opt in rate ?
