Do you agree that businesses which implemented AI and digital at their core fared far better in the pandemic?

For me... AI and the Pandemic are, were not a good match. AI is an algorithm, a set of parameters right? The Pandemic shifted many things many times over the course of time - and to this day, there is this unsettled pattern still existing - look at the shipping issues as an example - you would THINK an amount of AI could fix this - BUT is there the data available to do this - and if you know anything about the shipping industry, Data is the LAST thing they have.

There have however been shifts made. Look at Chick Fil A as an example pivoting mid blow out to a 2 aisle drive thru that in its mechanics blows every other fast food joints drive thru away. Started as a store sending kids out to take orders on their cel phones communicating with the kitchen to a full blow automated wonderment of modern technology You can look at the increase in numbers for Chick Fil A vs ANY other chain and see that everyone else was caught absolutely flat footed - and to this day, I dont think I have seen any chain other than Chick pivot in any direction other than backwards - even with a model that is so efficient and obviously working.

My personal business AI use is understanding purchase location - without getting into to much detail, but on the basic end using Log file data to find hotspot geographic locations to target ads directly to. I can historically know I am just got 4000 of something and be able to pull an amount of data to determine how to initially position ads. The Pandemic threw an absolute wrench into this to the point i call it "dead data". EVERYONE stuck at home when you are trying to identify those that dont have a store locally that offer what you are selling is simply a nightmare LOL

Much like trying to A/B test on black Friday - its just simply bad data in and bad data out if that makes sense?

I think its more important to use the data at this point to better understand the before vs after - how there have been shifts, and adjust accordingly.

It takes a lot of power to train and sustain AI technologies. Individual devices can take over the work of maintaining top-notch computers within the perimeter thanks to blockchain technologies. Aside from addressing space limits, blockchain technology also helps to contain escalating hardware, storage, and maintenance expenses.
