What to do with 32 ebooks designed to promote a new app?

Hello everyone,

I made an app for creative writers in a non-English language, it*provides tools for easy poetry writing, with a database of proverbs and words uniquely categorized. I have not started marketing it yet, but its already in the stores... a free version and a premium one. I needed to first be finished with a promotional manual, that ended up being 32 ebooks (about 25 pages each) on how to write poetry for different events and emotions, filled with original examples, proverbs, background stories, visuals, step*by step methods, tips and tricks, etc. all relevant to the app. The conceptual construct of all examples has a self-dev't, philosophy and spiritual /ish design to it. I, friends and family feel content quality is good enough, also in grabbing attention.... 50% visuals with adequately polished layout and only about 10% on direct app promotion, including CTA.

The question is what to do with these ebooks (A4 PDF). It took me a while to write them and of course I would love them monetized, but their main*purpose is to promote the app. I know there are amazing apps out there that struggle to survive because they are not marketed right. I want to do it right, boost income (short term for now) to hire help and scale channels and platforms . So, assuming you have engaging content, with good value proposition and communicates brand well, what would you do with 32 ebooks to start with income right away, any ideas? however general they may be?**
- Should i put them up on app's landing page and charge 0.99 for each?
- Should i take out bits and pieces and go at social media campaign promoting app and library of ebooks?
- Should i make all ebooks free for all?*
- Should i bundle with app purchase? or reward for app reviews?
- Am i better of changing content to a blog, or newsletter, or magazine? Issue bi weekly?*
I would appreciate any advice!

Something sounds odd to me. Why would you have 32 books as a manual for a single app? I suspect you have too much repetition and would need to look at having ONE manual that is easy to understand. I know that if you have an 800 page manual, you'll put plenty of people off before you have even begun. There are plenty of methods for improving your material.

Sounds to me like you've developed an app...

and by "in the stores", I'm assuming you mean Apple and Google?

And you have 32 lessons to teach someone that's a non-English speaker how to write poetry?

I would give the app away with at least the first lesson...then if they wanted to continue learning I'd charge a monthly fee.

    Just my opinion

  • Welcome to my Festive Cheeseboard Sleckshn!

To celebrate the boith of our sub-Lord, I bring to your table no less than 32 exotic cheeses from around the world -- all of which you may sample in exchange for fixin' me up with a massage aftah I dun waitressin'.

Bcs Jeesis, this sleckshn is cripplin' my lowah spine an' dowin' untold damage to the sartorial wondah that is my shouldah curvatyoore.

Gotta say 32 looks less like a CTA (or CTA generator) than a focus of limited numbahs of high valyoo content.

Mebbe if I were a devotee of fine French brassieres, I would dig deep for reference manuals ... an' we know geeks worldwide go crazy for all kindsa Star Wars content an' astrology stuffs.

But why would anywan be so intrested in an app they nevah heard about that they would wanna burn up weeks of their life readin' anythin' 'bout it?

    Here is the math ...

    32 x 25 = 875 pages.

Assoomin' your pdfs are A5, this means 250 words per page (supah frickin' approxo).

So you gaht 200,000+ words detailin' a HANDY app 'bout the SUPERLATIVE BREVITY of the powetic form ...

an' you gaht Moby Dick weighin' in same kinda count.

*omg I jus' seen you said A4*

You did not say how they promote the app.

I am having a hard time thinking of who wants an app like that.

When I, not a poet, want to write poetry, I go to an anthology, pick a poem, change some words and, voilà, I got me a poem.

I once did that with 'What happens to a dream deferred (Langston Hughes) and gave it to a foxy blonde who was into bodybuilding sans chemicals. Got her naughty parts tingling.

When I, a serious poet, want to write a poem, I wreck my brain, search deep into my soul, reread one of the greats, wash dishes (clears the mind, especially if you wash clean dishes), maybe check a thesaurus. Before and while writing. But it would be below me to have an app fill in anything for me.

Then, there are varieties of me that are in-between the above 2. None wants an app.

So, before advising you, I need to know why your targeted audience wants your toy, what kind of peeps they are, and what kind of content is in them p d f's.

Because the answers to the above can change drastically what I think would be the best use.

    My Answer: YES

They're all viable possibilities, so try each one with a couple thousand visitors and see what happens.

What's the worst thing that could happen? It doesn't work and you don't make any sales. You're not making any sales right now so you're no worse off. Then you can try the next one.

What's the best thing that could happen? It does work and you start making money. Then you can try the next one on your list to expand your reach and increase your numbers even more.

What's the one thing that's guaranteed to happen? You'll gain experience and move one step closer to ultimate success.

The only thing that would disappoint me is if you came back here in 90 days asking the same question about how to get started.
