Anyone get new clients from linkedin email leads?

Sure, but are you targeting them right? In many cases, you'd better target the decision makers first and end-users next.

First things first: linkedin is a platform for connecting people for business purposes.


That means that you, a web developer, can connect with people who hire / want to buy websites or upgrade theirs. (I suggest it is easier to get people who already own a website to buy something from you than to get people who do not have a website to buy one.)


Claude Whitacre, a member here, has some posts on this very topic... One of his things: his short introduction: I work with people who already have a website... I paraphrase, but his point / mine too: segment from the beginning... and position yourself.


Instead of sending email messages to random people, make friends with people who have the authority to hire you.


Also, post, now and again, interesting bits of information... not selling, just letting people know... Specific, actionable, short things are better than 2000-words of generalities.


The other way to go about it is to buy ads on linked in.


If you position yourself well, if your funnels are good, you'll get business... If you are trustworthy.

In as much as LinkedIn is a social media platform for connecting with others in business, there's a wide range of opportunities to get many potential clients. Make sure to keep engaging friends. Be a contributor. Be helpful. Someday, potential clients will reach you and ask about your services.

You can target LIONs (Linkedin Open Networkers) from your industry. Mass import them as contacts and try chatting with them to make acquantances. Share nice inbound content so they watch it and end up buying your system.
