Right off the bat...
Create it for someone else.
Create it with the intention of a future investor making you an offer you can not refuse for it.
Create it to appeal to future investors.
I got an email today from Brian Dean of Backlinko and he was sharing that he just finalized the sell of his "baby"/website to SEMRUSH.
He could not have sounded happier.
He shared that he had gotten several offers over the years but this one was the perfect fit and he had to pull the trigger on it.
I think this strategy would be very useful in creating a profitable website because of course that would be one of the primary appeals to investors along with the ability to scale even further.
So I encourage anyone trying to figure out what to create or what to pivot to for this new year to simply figure out what people are looking for to invest in.
Think like an investor. What would you like to see in place? Do that.
What types of monetization would you like to see if you purchased a website? Do That.
I think this will help you set up your business/brand logically and profitably and it will keep you in the game growing and expanding it knowing there could be a big grand slam payday in the future.

Some are selling for staggering amounts for sure.
