Are You A Lone Wolf Or Does Your Spouse Also Do Internet Marketing?

How about your children?

My wife used to help out but she eventually lost interest. My 15 year old daughter used to have a site but she lost interest in favor of being and chatting with friends.

My 15 year old son (boy/girl twins) shows no interest either, however I did get him hooked on Forex with a demo account.

I have been full-time since 2001 so I guess they think I am doing ok by myself.

How about you?

My long time girlfreind Jeanne & I work together as a team. It works very well for us...apart, we would be missing elements...but together we make a complete package....does that make sense?
Jeanne has an 18 yr old daughter who excells as a writer (does most of our article research / writing....she's good!! I'm encouraging her to join the WF & expand her writing talents). she's also getting into graphic arts / website design in College. She's been a big help...
So, yes....it's definately a family / team effort here...

My wife used to be involved, doing most of my server work and domain stuff, occasionally doing some writing for me.

But it was taking longer than she thought it would, so a couple of months ago, she packed up the kids and left.

We all do. Not that it necessarily has to be a woman. We all deserve to have someone close to us that will actually participate in our dreams.

I miss the hell out of my kids. That's the tough part for me. But as far as my wife goes, I just remember Stephen Sondheim's Johanna:

I think I miss you less and less as every day goes by."

I am a loner... I do some JV stuff so it's not as lonely, but my Husband works full time and just isn't interested..He does help me set up hosting and all that technical stuff if I need help. Even though he has seen the first clickbank check and JV partner and I are coming up on a $1200 site flip.

Unfortunately, I have what we think is fibromyalgia, so I havn't been able to work on it like I want to. If I had his help, we'd could be full time much faster.

LMAO. My wife is the same way . She has no energy when it comes to making money, but you should see how motivated she gets for spending money.

Just the other day I asked her to look at a new site I was working on and give me some feedback. She said she had no time. During the same hour, I told her that we should take a vacation. Two hours later she was still on the computer looking at resorts and plane tickets LOL.

I agree. I didn't mean to presume. And you know it's funny...(sorry for this being off-topic) my first husband didn't support anything that I did, and I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. That, I suppose, is a lot of the reason he's my "first" husband.

My husband now is my partner-in-crime and even before he "got it" with IM, he supported me 110%. That, to me, was and is still the catalyst to my success. And without a doubt, that is what you (and everyone) does deserve...

Love to hear all these stories! My husband owns his own completely separate business and designed his sites for that. He's more of a designer type.

I help him sometimes with the promotion. He also started a very cool zombie site that takes the format of a cnn news site with lots of zombie sitings and news reports all around the world.

I'm more interested in internet marketing as a business, and he does it just more as a support for his business, or for fun, in the case of his zombie site.

Hey CD, I can relate. My lady seems to pull away more each day. She thinks I'm just wasting time and money pursuing my dream. What I'm beginning to realize is that she doesn't have a dream of her own. So finds it difficult to support mine.

I found a couple of people here who have given me more support and encourage than most of the people around me.

So, yes, I'm a lone wolf and have been most of my life. Why, I try new things, take risk and not sit on the sidelines waiting to follow others.

I push myself to go places others only think about and that can be hard for those who don't have dreams.

Love the quote by the way.

But then again, I only started doing this aspect of online stuff in May and quit my job 6 weeks later to pursue it full time because I was making plenty to cover my full time income.

Maybe once I've replaced my hubby's income too, he'll realise that there's a much better life out there! As for my 12 year old, she's got a while to go before I convert her.

My wife has not interest whatsoever. The only time she saw my website is when I forced her in front of the computer and made her look at it! She is hopeful I will succeed but we never discuss it. Every now and then she will ask (in a "token" sort of way) - what exactly are you doing? I've explained it before so my standard response is - thanks for expressing the interest - but let's not talk about it right now.

She gives me the space and time I need. That's all that matters right now.

My girlfriend thinks IM is probably the most stupid thing ever, and has no real interest in helping me with my eBay business either. She's the back seat driver type, and sometimes goes out of her way to put me down either for my ideas or goes out of her way to prevent me from accessing a computer.

She's just lazy and old fashioned. She's one of the types that could never imagine working for herself, or being her own boss. She takes pretty good care of her child, and I still love her. However, if she became my "first wife" ( I intend on never getting married ) I wouldn't be suprised.

I'm a lone wolf in the fact that my wife doesn't do any IM stuff, she is studying to work with troubled youth so she is pretty busy herself. I also don't think she would ever be truly interested in it full time, she has her own calling. She's not opposed to it but it's just doesn't fit with school right now.

I have her utmost support tho, she actually hassles me to work more on my IM so I can get out of my J.O.B that she knows is killing me...

        Lone wolf here.

My friends thought it was lame and a scam.

I did lose 7 grand of (my) money in the beginning.

My ex gfreind left me because I was pursuing im
        to change my/our life.

I remember she used to promise to poor water
on my wife (laptop) and fry the b!*)% a many
nights if I didn't come to bed.

When I finally started making far more thousands
than I had lost I thought she'd be happy and proud
of me but that was not the case.

Instead, she hated what I was doing even more.
It made me feel really bad as I couldn't understand
        it.

I tried to date again but the moral support was
just not there and it turned into a nightmare
        for me.

Constantly- give me - give me. I wasn't with it
and she ended up having me robbed since she
        knew I didn't keep my $ in a bank.

That sent me into a real depressing fog of self
        worthlessness and self sabotaging thoughts.

Im starting to finally come out of it and have
        another go.

How can a gift be such a curse?

Well, that's the problem too! I have a lot of family members/friends asking me how do I do it, and when I send them a book to read first - seem that they just never complete books...

Jenn has two excellent products out there - for starting a ghostwriting business and building your own product, respectively. As a VERY happy customer, I recommend both.

    Wow, so many different responses.

My husband is completely supportive in that I can buy whatever I want to support my business as in hosting, domain names, guides, etc. But he doesn't really understand anything about the internet marketing world and he is not really interested in learning more about it.

He has his own offline business that he is busy with anyway.

I tried to do some projects with my brother but he quickly lost interest. So now I am creating sites on my own again...

I have made some money online and I will make more

When I first started "dabbling" in IM my wife helped me write articles and helped me with ideas for websites but her interest faded along time ago.

Even though she's not interested in helping anymore at least she doesn't complain when I come home after working 12 hours and sit in my recliner with my laptop for 3 hours before going to bed .

So I guess that means I'm a lone wolf who has a semi supportive wife.

I'm a lone wolf. My husband doesn't know much about the Internet at all. However, he is supportive of what I'm attempting to do and I really appreciate that. That's all I ask, really, that he be supportive.

I have one daughter who is interested in IM but my other two kids are not interested at all. My son works with computers all day - he's involved in setting up networks, etc. and my other daughter just isn't into IM at all. Oh well, maybe someday.

Right now, I'm a lone wolf.

I don't think that will be the case forever though. My boyfriend used to get really annoyed because not only was I not making money, but with the nature of most businesses money wouldn't come in fast enough. Now, I think he understands that there is HUGE money to be made, but I think only a huge bank balance would drive the point home.

He's offered to help with some writing stuff, though, and he loves computer stuff. I'll probably outsource the techie stuff to him, occasionally >

When I do bring in an abundant income, though, I don't think he'll much around with a J.O.B. much longer after that. He likes to outdo me (in a lighthearted competitive way), and we've talked about this - he's going to be the one who makes the magical five figures overnight without a big learning curve, then rub it in my face the next morning. It's only a matter of time >

I am a lone ranger - except for my mentors!
My Husband provides loads of moral support, but he is busy with his day job
All the lone rangers out there - we need to get our partners and families into IM courses so they can see how great IM is and then they can help us!
