This was kind of surprising to me. Is the smaller desire for diet books because we are fitter? No, as a whole we are fatter than ever. Maybe it has to do with fat shaming? I forget who shared something a while back about how no one wants to hear how they are overweight any more. Just accept me for who I am.

Any of you in the health/fitness space and seeing a decline in interest?

Was just reading recently the state of Texas is suing an influencer who was selling "customized" meal plans targeting people with eating disorders.

She has a very religious instagram theme but unfortunately was selling the same standard rehash to everyone and at $300 a pop!

      Still a lucrative industry.

I was going to share that story too. Coaches can get in trouble with states. Her case was one of not fulfilling the orders, but I have seen health/diet coaches shut down by state licensing boards for illegally practicing medicine. You could even be put in jail for this. So, be careful what you promise and who you say you are and fulfil your orders!

Diet book are out... so are pills and and plans and all of that... plus the legal ramifications are getting silly. But, "Healthy" is in - that follows those plans and books.

Diets are pretty much consumables... this one then the next then that one, and back to the fifth one and on and on... but there is actually something more consumable than the diet plans themselves... and its the FOOD and drinks and snacks. The money has ALWAYS been with these things... think Jenny Craig or any plan with a meal replacement "Shake", Weight Watchers. or Lean Cuisine.. these are far from out and lead sales in their particular verticals.

"Healthy" Recipes... and selling the ingredients is was and will be where the REAL money is at. And your not a racist or fat shaming when approaching the whole weight loss industry from this angle.
