Need Ideas for an Info Product to Create for a Sports Website

The outlet is mostly NFL and NBA-driven for the most part. The plan is to sell the product through my site or Amazon Kindle and drive traffic back to the outlet. Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you created a Sports website you can create a product on how to Create a Sports website.

Content will get you traffic. Topics like Celebrity athletes or news. Lists type posts.

You mentioned selling an infoproduct to get traffic back to the site but if you sold someone you should have them on a buyers list already.

So maybe something free will get them to your website.

You could offer a discount code/gift card linked to your website.
    Fantasy football content.
    Sports Gaming content. Cheat codes.
Could get more specific if you share what exactly is on your website.

The site provides an analysis of NFL and NBA-related topics. However, it's a football heavy outlet. We provide content such as game previews/predictions and editorials. We create lists post as well.

    Some ideas:

    1) Fantasy football secrets

    2) You could create print on demand merchandise such as clothing (not info product)

    3) How to run faster (kindle product)

    4) How to jump higher (kindle product)

    5) How improve your football/basketball skills (kindle product)

    6) How to make your kid good at football/basketball (kindle product)

Until you create the perfect product why not to create a short pdf to give it im exchange of email details .Then choose sn affiliate product from clickbank related to your niche and sell it on email .Then when you create your product change the affiliate product and sell your oen product .Because if you wait until you create the perfect product you loose a lot of time and time its money

It's a win win if you do a freebie with a paid link inside. To get the Freebie they have to trade an email address and you get multiple opportunities to sell something.

You could take your most clicked resource and offer that as an opt in incentive instead.

As for Paid...I would deep dive into similar websites and or competitors and see what their funnels include for inspiration.

    https://www.similarweb.com/

Another option is to survey your audience for their interests to filter out what they would be willing to pay for.

This could be done in Sports groups on FB for example.

Have you asked your readers/subscribers/followers what they would be interested in by doing a survey or poll?

What are other sites doing that you can do better? Not to copy but seeing a bunch of what's already out there may help you brainstorm. You could also look at what's selling on Amazon Kindle now.

    Good luck.

I think a membership site for this niche would be a good option. although you would have to constantly update the content. Focus on Fantasy leagues. I know a guy that has spent hundreds on apps to help pick his teams.

You can also promote sports books and things like draftkings and fanduel

How would I go about finding subscribers and convince them would be willing to pay for the content though?

The way i would approach an answer to this... I would want to use an amount of data to maybe at the least point me in the right direction. I would keep in mind that overall you need more than one piece of content... and the more time you spend in the process of allowing data to drive you in the right direction, the more universal an answer you may come up with.

The question at hand becomes "where am I going to get the data?" and I would start with Google. Search "NFL " ( with the space at the end ) and look at the auto fill, and then scroll down to the bottom of the search page and look at the "Related Searches" listings.

So searches like "NFL ", "Football ", "NBA " , "Basketball ", "PGA ", "Golf ", "Soccer ", "Bowling " "NCAA " "College Footfall " etc and search for a common element. I understand NFL and NBA is the primary objective here, but the "right" product would, could, and should be universal - and you might want to list the Primary topics on your site, but sell the secondary products on Amazon.

You also have to consider how deep you want to target the information provided. With the NFL... there are a couple of layers, each getting more refined. the top layer being NFL, then National and American League, Then Teams, and lastly Players. I would do the above search across the many layers and again try and find a universal theme to work with.

I personally prefer to sell physical product and across the few brief searches I did to write this - I found cleats / shoes to pop in quite often... not that I am sure this could be turned into a "Info Product", but gives you an idea again of the process and how I would use it.

Again... I would broaden the overall scope of this project... to include sports that are not your primary and settle on a topic across the board that would be inclusive of ALL sports ( or as many as possible ) to really stretch the overall reach of your product - or series of products as the case may be.

    Hope that Helps!

The greatest show in Golf, THE MASTERS just concluded. So, maybe get ready for next year for your golf stuff...listen, general sports sites are a penny a million, eegads too many.

Here is what NFL and NBA fans WANT and will PAY for, other than this, prepare for a site pulling in nickels and dimes.

First. They both have two seasons, playing and off season.

During the playing season both want CURRENT information, especially anything which might influence the games' outcomes. Like injury reports.

See, both sports are GAMBLING driven, and both have fanatics in their fans. So you can offer information or products to meet a certain desire. Example, Cleveland Browns fans could have the time of their lives in the coming season...

So all dawg pound type products might sell to them, however, there is an ANTI Browns market too, which may be very lucrative to female sports fans. See?

Now this free advice, take it or leave it, but when it comes to making money with sports, the ones who are hauling down the big bux, are well established sites which will give the gambler (including fantasy league players) an edge on the coming games.

So offer INFORMATION along those lines, and maybe you too will make some big bux, I give you 9 to 1 odds.

    GordonJ

P.S. Re:Browns. They will NEVER win a Super Bowl, probably never even get into one, becuase no matter how good the QB or team is on paper, there is a magical, mystical element involved, THE LAKE EFFECT. Only LeBron was able to over come it in the last 50 years of baseball, football and basketball.

The LAKE EFFECT has to do with weather, mostly barometric pressure, my soon to be finished report on WHY THE BROWNS WILL NEVER WIN THE SUPERBOWL, could make a nice front end to an NFL sports site, it would serve as a nice hook to bait your future customers on.

Firstly, I must say my kind of posts that has challenges. I agree with many good people here that, Amazon Kindle is a popular e-reader, and there are many self-published authors who are selling their products/books on the Kindle platform.

If you're thinking about writing and selling a book, it's worth taking a look at what's already out there to see if you can do better. There are many different genres of books available on Amazon Kindle, so it's important to choose one that you're familiar with and that you think you can write well.

Once you've selected your genre, take a look at the bestsellers and see if you can identify any patterns or trends. What are readers looking for? Is there anything that you could do differently or better? Keep these things in mind as you start writing your own book or building your own product. With a some aggressive research, or perhaps using tools to do this crawling job for you and extract these data, you will have a good idea about your next step.

    I hope this helps!

just join some relevant groups whose are totally working for selling. along with it you can use more social media tools to attract your aimed target. this will help you to get back your traffic and even it will increase your sell also. make a new exciting brochure for your products.

Try put together a top prospect book that features some up and comming youths or even a scouting guide maybe can make you an expert in your field if you master it and you can also make an issue a year.

My first response came right after the MASTERS golf tournament. Since then, golf has been turned upside down. How much have you written about it? Anything?

Since your original, the NFL has been non stop DeShaun Watson and his 24 civil law suits, and it has been the TOPIC of the year in NFL sports, how many reports or how much information have you created for this very polarizing topic?

The NFL commissioner just appeared before a Congressional hearing...any info on that?

So, what have you done re: information about sports?

Just wondering if you actually DID anything at all.

Any related to DeShaun or the commissioner?

I think the trust of the question was: do you produce content related to what's going on while it's going on or is hot.

Right on. Produce content related to what's going on, the Deshaun Watson finding, maybe out this Friday, maybe 8 game suspension...it has been top of NFL Summer news...now that training camp is starting up, and once he gets his punishment, if any, then it is on to the important things about NFL....betting.

Online sports betting will begin in Ohio in Jan. Millions of dollars are expected to be spent.

I have several REPORTS, information products, at the ready. This gravy train has been coming down the track for awhile.

If you have a sports site, I would suggest a keen eye toward ESPORTS. Mark these words, within 5 years, the top gamers in the world will be getting paid as much as the quarterbacks in the NFL...and once we can wager on who will win the latest tournament, maybe billions of dollars will be exchanged in a matter of hours.

Use TOPICAL stories to draw readers, audiences in...no one wants OLD news when it comes to sports, do they?
