tagging vs hashtagging for digital marketing

i am new to instagram and am in the process of creating a product insert with a qr code inwhich i would like to lead customers to my instagram page. this is to enable them to post an image or video featuring my product.

1. do i link them to my instagram url homepage and tell them to tag/hashtag or on their own account?
2. do i instruct to hashtag (#mybrandname) or tag (@mybrandname)?

    If you want to reach out to a specific user or business or influencer, tag them.

    If you want to reach out to a trend or interest group or topic (e.g. SEO, internet marketing, etc.), use a hashtag.
