New To IM, FTC 12-01-09 Concerns

Hello,

Great forum, been reading lots of great posts. I am fairly new to IM, but have been in direct sales for a few years, and trying to duplicate that success online.

As I have started setting up my new system to generate leads, including my blog with affiliate links that tie back to my lead generation system, I keep reading a lot of information about the FTC laws.

The training system that I am using, is not owned by me, but my blog and squidoo pages, facebook account, twitter etc are. All of the affiliates are part of the system, so if someone were to start using the system, I would earn commissions off of them. If I am linking to these exact affiliates on my blog, should I be concerned? Do I need to put a disclaimer on my site.

In addition, I have a blog that I created for my primary company, and I am pretty sure that I should not be using any testimonies on that site, but I am wondering if I should state that I receive compensation from my primary company. The blog is really meant for people to come to if they are looking for information about the company products or joining my team. The one thing that I have on the site, is a video directly from the company, so I hope that they are in compliance (this an established company with over 10 years of being in existence, and they are very careful).

The last site(s) that I am working on are a group of mini sites to generate affiliate commissions in niche markets.

I am not looking for legal advice, but would like to hear from others who are way more experienced than I. My goal is to earn an extra 3-5K per month doing this, and not really looking to get into trouble with the FTC.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
