Hi

Is it profitable to buy Apps from sites like Flippa and either launch them on Playstore or further resell them at higher price.

Are there any other similar sites from where we can buy Apps

Thanks

Personally I think it's profitable but you do have to do more research if you're looking to sell it on apps like playstore for higher price as not a lot of people us Android anymore. Im looking to find out what other sites there are out there too

In the US, 46% of phones are Android..not an insignificant %age.

In the UK that is different but i mean if we are to really talk of %, If i am REALLY to do the research. i almost guarantee that most people find apple more useful in regards to the main comment up there being about Apps. Android doesn't offer some of the APP that apple does. One has to be in a certain country for Android to let anyone download or use an app. Apple isn't like that. I use Android and Apple so i am sure on what i am referring to but i definitely do understand your point.

Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated.
Facts do not matter, alternative facts are in, better yet, the hell with facts! When was the last time a fact gave you a hug, huh?

PS This exists, alas, in my offline business word.

Have you done any research on flipping Apps? Doing a quick Google search there is not a whole lot of information. Other than one company called App Empire even the videos look dated.

Well it can be profitable but it will not be easy ,you need to test a lot ,work hard ,endure failures etc .

    I think it's profitable
    it can be profitable
What are those opinions based on?

Many of the apps on Flippa are several years old - is that an issue? Do you have the money to hire a developer (or the ability yourself) to update/evaluate the app?

Do you have thousands to invest in apps? Do you know any developers you can discuss the potential profits with?

Not an expert - not even knowledgeable about apps...could not build an app myself if my life depended on it... but even to me it seems you need to do a lot of research before deciding 'it's profitable'...

The appears to be a lot of sites talking about costs of building apps of all kinds - but not sites offering them for resale. May be a great idea or an expensive flop. Let us know if you give it a shot.

YOU posted 'not a lot of people use Android any more'. You may be 'sure' but that is not what the statistics say. They don't support your comment. Interestingly, in my own family, apple/android use is right at 50/5i0.

      True, I second you.
Don't just post anything without knowing the statistics.

Me, I would pay attention to what Kay wrote. Because, yes, you can deal only with apple, but that decision should be based on facts, real numbers.

I have a question for you.

Scouring flippa for apps is one way of finding them.

The other way is to find a need, hire someone to build you an app, sell that app.

You would have to find a large enough group that wants and is willing to pay your price either way.

    Or maybe do both.

Each way has advantages and disadvantages but you might find you mind one way's disadvantages less than the other's.
