    I think its back up, yesterday Allen mentioned they are moving to a Unix server, must be this is why its crawling sloooow.

    At the moment it seems to be moving fine, I too was having problems and needed to do the same.

    Mmm, there are currenly 96,532 members of this forum, I
    wonder what it would like if even just 1% were to use the
    main forum to post personal messages when it's a common
    problem for us all?

      John, I understand that, but I have an inbox flooded with PMs. Do I just
      ignore these people because I can't get to them? I didn't see any other
      way of handling it though I know it's not the best solution.

      If you have a better idea for the future, let me know what it is and I will
      implement it.

        I have to agree with John here.

        I appreciate you get a lot of PMs but maybe a lot of other folk do too. If your OP was worded slightly differently, maybe in the spirit of a 'public service announcement' stating that the forum's running slow and everybody will be struggling to receive and reply to posts and PMs so just be patient, you may not receive negative replies and you'd been seen as very public spirited!

        Just required a little bit of smarter communication, that's all.

          Peter, it's hard to be smart when you've got an inbox filled with 30 PMs
          that upon estimated calculation would have taken me 5 yours to reply
          to them all.

          Next time I'll try to be better under pressure.

            Gentlemen,

            I think the essence is that we can use our best community again. I also was annoyed because of the problems, but am not qualied to give advice on them.

            And I feel we need to thanks for those who have worked on fixing the bugs.

            They deserve it.
