How do sites such as Facebook & Quora feel about Sniply.io links?

Hello Warriors:

Hope all is well.

Can somebody tell me how sites such as Facebook, Quora, and specific forums (be it how to play better golf, how to speed up a computer, etc.) feel about links that have Sniply.io attached?

A few folks on YouTube have posted videos to market a Cost Per Action product to answer people's questions on Quora/Facebook directing them to the YouTube video but it would show the Sniply link.

As an example a YouTube video with 1,000,000 views explains how to be a better bowler. When somebody posts that question on Quora you would talk a bit about the video and send them to it. The Sniply link would have the call to action embedded when you arrive on the URL (Sign Up for a chance to win ABCDEF).

Would the sites such as Facebook and Quora, and the specific forums feel although you are promoting something, you are giving an answer and furnishing a valid solution with the video having that many views or does the fact you are sneaking in a self-promotion override that and the posts would be removed and or accounts banned?

Thanks for as much info as possible!

It may or may not feel spammy + as you said it, feels like you're trying to promote something.

Really depends on the forum/group. Some allow it, some don't.

      Hi WF-Enzo:

How do you think Facebook and Quora would feel? That is a key to the strategy the YouTube uploader mentions.

If Quora banned an account, it is not the end of the world. Facebook would be an issue.

      Thanks for additional info.

Anything that shortens a link will probably come under scrutiny. At least one group on Reddit does not allow them. In the Path section of the forum, someone had been answering questions on Quora linking to their site. Someone mentioned he got banned on Quora. With Facebook, you may get away with it for a while. You never know if out of the blue they ban you permanently. Like Google does with their bans.

Thanks DWolfe. I always worry about some of the pitfalls with the Cost Per Action marketing. On the surface the video the guy on YouTube provided sounded good but based on your mention of Reddit, it would be brutal to lose a Facebook account or even go through the time to post on forums and have the thread removed or account vanish.

      The info is appreciated.

I've been posting on FB, Quora etc for the last two years using shortened links without any issue. I'm sending people to content though and not a direct offer but i'm not sure if these platforms could decipher where and what the links going to.
