Looking for a little affiliate marketing advice for 2022

Recently I returned to IM, and have been taking my time exploring options, and reviewing files I archived between 2001-2016 (most of it outdated at this point).

I want to get back to affiliate marketing, but the last thing I want to do is go back to what I used to do, and find out it's no longer relevant or no longer works well.

Back in the day I used CB Engine a lot, with good results. Is it still a good resource to use? If not, what would you recommend?

I also dabbled with CBProAds (but I see that that one is basically a dinosaur now), JVZoo, PayGear (now defunct) and WarriorPlus (which is no longer allowed here at WF).

WF has the Affiliate Program Database forum, and I'll be checking it out, too.

Your in a postion.. a position that plays itself out person after person after person... I left Im and now i want to get back into it.. how have things changed... what arer you doing?

THIS is a pretty common post here.

A pretty common post becomes a pretty common problem... and problems need solutions. I am pretty keen on the idea that you document the journey.

How that looks... you would build a YOU site... your past history, your skill sets, etc etc.. and then you get into the things you are trying... I picked a JVZoo product.. i did this and that.. this is how I am advertising it.. so on and so forth.. and then you pick a Warrior special offer, you do this and that.. and then a CB offer and you do this and that.

So again you have a site that has YOUR journey documented - that ends up being the gateway to a product IE step by step guide to promoting a JVzoo product a a guide to promoting a warrior product, a guide to promoting a CB product

and then you have the sites that actually are promoting the products... so your front end is actually doing the thing right, and the back end is teaching others how to do the thing. A phrase I throw around would be "Teach what you most need to learn" and the process of documenting would be exactly that.

So a more concrete example would be my eBay thread ( https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html ) and then if I would ever get motivated to do so, I could then release a product that basically outlines the same thing but with pictures and more detailed.

Might be something you could consider is starting a thread on the Warrior Path that would be the HOW to sell a jVzoo product..and then a sig link you YOUR site that may have a bit more detail.

My experience with the Warrior Path thread was it made me damn accountable... I wanted to post every day and for the most part did that, it was a good point of motivation.

    Anyways... Hope that Helps!

Actually, that might be of some help to someone else, as it doesn't address my question at all, as well as makes a lot of assumptions about me; not to mention paints me with the wrong brush.

Bud... #1 the assumption was you had an amount of success in your previous efforts and that YOU actually might bring something to the table. #2 Look at your signature and re read my post. #3 If you re-read the post you will see in a round about way I suggest trying a number of these sites and see which ones work and which ones dont - and in doing so you have the ability to create from personal experience your own set of products - ones that actually might "work" compared to most of the trash that is sold on said sites.

The only one painting with the "wrong brush" would be you.

I personally sell products... Not only do I buy and sell physical product, I take the opportunity by having items in my possession to write reviews and sell said products on the likes of Amazon. I practice what I preach - I have a thread that is a 30 day walk through on how to sell on eBay - I was directing you based on MY experience towards a path that works for ME.

Leverage your experience as an affiliate marketer and become a seller of products and information that has worked for you along the path.

I know I personally have no interest in writing day in and day out about some weight loss product I have never tried in an effort to get people to buy it.

I am going to bet the reason you took a hiatus is because you burned out - and probably burned your list over time - its what happens - selling one product after another after another... it gets boring for you, and your subscribers. I like playing long games. I like teaching what I most need to learn. I like selling what I know.

You can take or leave my advice, doesnt matter to me... but a bit of civility would be nice... No comment, or a thanks for sharing would have sufficed.

  • Affiliation demands a certain kinda schmoozery.

As in ... a potentially unequal gravitational conflux of orbits.

Most anythin' else is eithah slavery or Dominion O'er.

Natchrlly, it depends 'pon who you readin', or whose loud & proud holler grinds your eardrums to dust, but there are meetup points all ovah.

Like Dumbo said, "the bird from whose ass this feather was plucked never made the cinema gold movie ... which is why I suffered trebly as a weird kinda quadruped on a planet beyond damnation."
