How much for vacation rental website?

I have a client who is interested in building their own vacation rental website.

(Link removed by admin)

I was trying to discover how much it might cost to build something similar or, in the very least, what scripts or tools would be required.

Any insight would be appreciated...thanks as always!

I managed to do it for around 300$ in 2018, now is probably more...Btw are you talking of building it by yourself or hiring someone?

not sure what it will cost but you need something like this https://www.kigo.net/

probably not the only one out there but you can just go to your favorite search engine and search for "vacation rental software"

I do not know the price but I would imagine in is not that cheap.

You are also not going to get away with shared hosting on a site like this and it probably won't work with a free WP install and theme. For hosting you are probably looking at around $100.00 min to start. I can't even offer a guess as to what the setup, programming, and management of a site will cost.

There are also liability issues you might want to have your client look into with his/her attorney

I would be looking at Envatos WP Rentals theme... kind of everything you need in one nice tidy little package and its only $69

You cn look for hotel booking site plugins as well.

If you are going to try this without a complete package setup and trying booking plugins I would be using The WooCommerce StoreFront theme.

I also agree that at Envatos, you can get many worpress theme with multiple functions for very affordable price. If you need to add some custom facilities then can take support of theme creator person or company by paying additional small amount.

I second the Woo commerce store front: quite good.

I would say arguably the best theme for blog or commerce setups on the market today - and the basic version is FREE. Add to the that the fact that it is a CORE framework to Wordpress AND WooCommerce, it is as close to update bulletproof as it gets.

And then throw in from a programmers perspective probably the one of the easiest themes in terms of overall manipulation... I / we probably use this 80% of the time.

If they're looking to outsource this to someone to build for them, given the complexity of it, they'd be looking above $150k based off site's i've had built for me. It'll all depend on the structure for how they want to connect to the rental properties, via owner accounts etc. The platform to host this would be quite complex and that's where the cost comes in.
