How many articles do you write a day?

You really don't have to bash your brains out writing a ton of articles every day. The key is getting good at finding keywords you can rank for without a lot of competition to wade through. I find I burn out really fast trying to meet a daily quota. I don't burn out at all if I can write 2 articles that will pull in more traffic in the long run than 10 or 20 that didn't focus on good keywords. Keyword research is the key, no doubt about it. Unless you're all about backlinks. Then I think you're probably better served spinning or rewriting and blasting away to as many directories as possible. It's not for me, but some swear by it.

That is amazing..how long does you take to write each article?

I write around 4 articles a day but half of my articles each week are in blogs... do you really think you get more traffic from Ezine than other resources?? I use Ezine Articles as well, have a bunch but haven't seen a huge wave of traffic..

I used to write 5-10 a day but after learning how to do proper keyword research I now only write 1 - 3 a week.

I write about 3-4 good quality articles.

Writing good articles that don't have the same tone and feel as the last one takes a certain amount of creative energy. I think on my best day I've written six, each averaging around 700 words. I was wiped out and felt like I had spent the day digging ditches.

Mental work can be just as exhausting as physical. I average 2500 words a day when I'm working but that's broken into several different writing categories. My hat's off to people who can produce 10, 12, even 15 well-written, informative and original articles a day. I see such claims often on WF and wonder...

what you need to do is pick three article directories and your blog. They are ezine articles, goarticles, and articlebase thats it. EZA for traffic and the other two for back links. Then write 2 articles and make 4 versions of them simply by changin the titles slightly and changing words with different synomns. then do keyword research. Make sure you have long tail keywords that when in inverted commas have about 5000 websites with that exact phrase in them and you will rank on the 1st page of google guaranteed.

Steve, the number per day is not as important as the quality of content. If you write really good content and place it on EZA it will get picked up and placed of other people's sites. That can bring you more traffic than EZA would alone. Setup Google Alerts for each article so you can know when someone picks up the article and places it on their site. Then you can go to that site owner and offer to write more articles for them and place better content text links to your site than EZA allows.

I write an article or two a week and spin each three times. Submit to EZA, ArticlesBase, GoArticles, iSnare, Buzzle, and Article Alley -- the only directories that ever got me any traffic. Lately Buzzle has been the big winner for both link juice and click-throughs. The only times I have ever seen noticeable spikes in traffic are from articles that got spread around by people who scrape their content and are decent enough to leave the links in place.

I write at least 10 articles a day. I do my keyword research with the google keyword tool, come up with several titles and then start writing. Keyword research is so very important. Writing your articles based around keywords that you know people are searching for is a sure way to get your articles read and get traffic to your site.

I submit my articles to about 7 directories. EZA, Goarticles, ideamarketers, articlealley etc..

All kidding aside, when I write articles for my own purposes I write a couple per day, then submit them to Ezine as well as ArticlesBase, and a couple of others. Mostly for linking purposes, but I do find that I get a good deal of traffic from ArticlesBase lately.

I honestly do think that writing 2-3 per day and submitting to a handful of the top-ranked directories is a good idea, both for traffic and link purposes.

Once you write SEO articles every day, all day for a very long time, you would be surprised with how quickly they can get done. This is especially true if you have the tools necessary to write quickly. (Dragon and the right microphone)

Think of it this way. If you were to sit and talk to someone about a subject you were familiar with, how long would it take for you to talk 300 - 500 words intelligently? That is about how quickly you can write a good article, once the research is done.

If you are writing about something that you know inside and out, reaching large numbers of unique, well written articles per day is not out of the question.

I can only manage to write one good article per day because of time restrictions but I do make sure that that article is top notch and very original. Through this alone, I am making sales; only 4-5 per week but sales nonetheless through article marketing. I think quality is the key; surfers are looking for answers, not a weak see-through sales pitch. Most come to your article not looking to whip out their wallet but to find an answer. Give them most of the answer then get them begging for the cherry. My site is only 6 wks old and this method is working for me. Such a newbie, I can't post my site link here yet!

It's also a good technique to put the top keyword in your author bio for seo purposes. You can bold it by typing <b>before the word(s) ,and </b>after. Worth a try!

ATM i have three writers for a total of 38 articles weekly. I know, need more. Article Quality is also a HUGE criteria. Rather 20 High Quality Articles than 50 "what the hell is that" articles...

Sometimes it's not all about the articles. Yes, a good article is one peice, but you must also take into consideration the resource box. Make sure that you are testing resource boxes and trying to improve your clickthrough rates. You can see this on Ezine articles.

I just try to write articles that are more likely to be picked up and distributed. I've tried putting out 5-10 a day, but without much result.

Another traffic stategy from articles I haven't seen written on this thread is directly from ezinearticles.

Here how it works...

Go to ezinearticles and search for the main category you are submitting too.

In my case it is dogs.

Click on any article in that catogory and scroll down and see which articles are the most viewed and the most published in the last 90 days.

From there you will see that dog training and body language are the most popular.

Now you can use dog training and body language in your headlines and your article is most likely to appear on the same page as the most viewed article.

You will get readers reading your article.

Here's a weird thing...the most popular article on dog training has a link out to bathroom cabinets which is an adsense page!

Anyway, you don't have to do keyword research from Google.

The traffic is directly coming from ezinearticles.

Video marketers are doing the same thing with youtube as they have the second highest trafficked search engine.

You will be astonished as to what are the most searched for titles in your catogory
at ezinearticles.

Get targeted keywords, write good articles. It is not how many you write a day that matters but how targeted.

I write about 1 article for my blog once 3 days. It depends, if I'm free and I'll write more articles.

Between my company and articles for clients, I usually write 15-20 per day on average. Time consuming, but worth the extra effort.

I write 10 a day, but it's better to set a goal of one a day and sometimes do 2 than to set a goal of 10 a day, feel overwhelmed and do none. Each article takes me around 7-8 minuets, but I'm familiar with the niche and I type quickly. If you can do five quality articles in an hour, you're doing great. I submit the same article to 10 directories to increase their chances of being published and as backlinks to my ezines articles.

Question.

If someone writes anywhere from 3 to 10 articles per day everyday how good are the articles?

Even 3 per day over a period of a year is over 1000 articles. Does this mean the author is an expert and has submitted quality information that is picked up?

I was trying to write 14 articles everyday, and I am burning myself out. I am starting to outsource some of my articles and repost my articles at other sites to build backlinks.

I am going to focus more on backlinking my websites and landing pages on my own domains and less time just writing new content all day.

I will still write new content, but not 14 brand new articles everyday.

On the days that I write, which isn't every day, I will write about 5-10. I'm happy to create about 50 a month.

Here is what I have found, out of every 10 articles that I write, there will be one real winner. By winner, I mean about 1000 views and 100-200 clicks. For me that usually makes up for the other 9. But I have found that it is about doing it consistently.

So for you guys that write 5 to 10 or more a day, have you seen an increase in trafficl or sales?

I guess I will have to plan on creating a list every week on the subjects to write on and then writing a couple each day. If I do my keyword research properly, then I should be able to drive a lot of traffic.

I write approximately ZERO articles per day, every day. I've maintained that consistently for quite some time now, and I've found that to be very effective for me.

I do a big keyword list about once a month. as I use each keyword, I strike it off the list. Spend one day a month doing the kw research, spend a few hours every day researching, then write the articles based on the research done. I can usually write 5-6 good articles in a day, post them to my blog, article directories, or other sites. Also save a few for giving out as unique content for other people's sites as guest posts. Great way to get more links, especially if you are a blogger.

i used to get 5 out there a day but now i find it much more productive to do 50 once a month for one of my websites only and concentrate on the backlinks. Since then ive noticed ive gone a lot further in the google rankings and my business sales have gone through the roof.

Once you have some spare cash you can outsource them and then like i do find a nice husband that is soft enough to submit them all for you and bookmark them!!!! (dont tell him i said that)
