Will AI take over digital marketing?

What are your thoughts on usage of AI in content marketing, image generators, strategy planning, or any other digital marketing areas?

Will AI be more powerful than human intervention or there will be a boundary?

    I think Ai has lowered the barrier for entry, but the human element will never disappear. It(AI) has allowed me to become three different people in my business (Copywriter, video editor, and graphic designer). Still, touch-ups are always needed, and I don't think that will ever go away.

    Right now - AI is providing an opportunity for some marketers while others talk about it....Chris Rempel, Andrew Hansen and others are creating seminars, interviews, etc....all about the impact of AI on marketers.

    Soon that will lead to products and info packages with 'how to use AI' etc. Some marketers will jump on the AI train, some will watch the train go by and some won't even hear the whistle until the train hits them.

    What we're seeing right now (cool image generators, ad copy ideas, etc.) is just the first inning. What's really coming in the next 12-24 months is going to be massively disruptive.

    And I predict that there will be huge winners - and huge losers - in digital marketing as the AI story unfolds. It all depends which side of the fence you're on.

    That was in Chris' latest email - and is a pretty good hook IMO.

    AI is a new (big) tool for marketers and it will be as handy and powerful as your ability to use it...I'll check those authors Kay mentioned.

    I heard also Chase Reiner talk about AI bots, does anyone have any reference regarding this marketer? Thanks

  • I think there will always be a boundary when it comes to AI. We are after all, their creators. There are some marketers who are already embedding AI in their products, but I think for right now, the majority of people this year (and for next year) will still be dependent and rely on human intervention when it comes to marketing, web design, and networking.

    There will be online war AI against AI. The first AI is the one used by Google, FB and other big companies to abandon automatically generated content and the second one will be the AI used by marketers, trying to beat the algorithms of the first AI and generate content looking like it would be made by humans. The second second AI will be only better in the future, creating millions of photos, videos or articles within seconds, and nobody will be able to recognize what was creating by AI and what was created by humans.

          Haha, have we opened Pandora's Box with this IA thing?... It's impossible not to think about things like that sometimes, but hopefully, we can focus on the positive side of these technologies, let's try not to end like Terminator

            yeah i agree its obviously bad if they say try to start a nuclear war like in the movies, but i think we should not discount the benefits of terminators.

            an ai /w a machinegun could make short work of casual lawbreakers, dealers, organized crime, renegade police departments and other undesirables in a fair and apolitical manner.

              Exactly - much like Robocop:

              => Serve the public trust
              => Protect the innocent
              => Uphold the law

    Recently everyone is talking about AI. But AI will never take over the human place specially for marketing.
    Google already started to take step to not index or not ranking in search result. And it's not so tough to identify the AI written article.

    I cannot say about future. But right now AI cannot beat humans in digital marketing. AI can be good at analysis and predictions. But for creativity, we need human brain.

    The same goes with Google too. Google will find ways to differentiate between humanmade content and AI content while indexing a page. Google will rank low while indexing AI generated content, I hope.

    Still I cannot say Google is perfect as it even index and shows nonexistent pages on a blog in the search results.

    Google Index and Display posts those do not exist on a blog

    AI is improving rapidly and all the time .

    So while we think it cannot possibly do this or that , soon enough it will .

    AI is after all self learning , and learning on the go .

    Yes humans will be required to programme the robots . They soon might reach a stage of programming and building themselves .

    Humans , regrettably will be replaced in so many professions .
    Time is maybe to learn as much about information technology as possible and position yourself in a career that will be in demand .

    Of course pursue your interests in internet marketing , but have a good back up career

    I'd like to answer and connect it with the latest google update. It looks like google is combating 'low value content' to the extend of AI content creation.
    Meaning if tools like jarvis and any AI article generator tools, can 'outsmart' the google's algo then we're finished as human.
    BUT
    Looks like in some niches we're not finished, like in YMYL niche, we still need EAT as one of the main factor in google algo for it to rank our content.

    So far, we can still use AI just to 'help' but not to take over our place, EAT , and stuff.

    If you consider that most of us love automation in a sense it already has.
    What you are on is a forum written in a lanugage interpreted by your web browser which then renders what you see. PHP Python Server Side Scripting etc

    I made a software one time that gave you headlines based on your niche. e.g. Weightloss.
    Shed those pounds and add years to your life with =x

    AI is not new. Has it replaced humans? In some areas yes car manufacturing as an example much automation happens and those at one time were jobs yet people are still required.

    AI Can be very scary because it is already mimicking human behavior , empathy, customer service, companionship emotions it will never feel etc. The more advanced it becomes and the more people make it humanesque the more people will be replaced. Entire Hotels are run by AI now.
    AI Is helpful but nothing replaces a human full on. Even AI will need to be serviced and monitored and etc.

    some of it is sure fun though.
    Always Onwards.

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is already causing controversy in a number of different businesses. According to some, it will also fundamentally alter how marketing and sales are carried out, causing a shift in the demand for digital marketers.

    However, the specific impact of AI on digital marketing roles over the coming years is still not well understood.

    What is certain is that creative individuals will continue to be needed to implement current practices along with the requirement to develop better and better marketing tactics. But at the same time, marketing's use of artificial intelligence is gradually growing

    Why is this taking place?

    AI is becoming more and more appealing every year as a result of the daily increase in the amount of data that is available and the methods for processing, analyzing, and using that data to marketing and advertising. The attraction of AI and marketing automation will also grow as more businesses gather human resources with expertise in data science and market analysis

  • Well, there is different option as per my opinion. Most of the part is depend on human, we can't rely on AI. AI is the best for content writing. But in digital marketing we need to work manually.

    You will always need someone to come up with the prompt, at least that is how I see it...

    I mean over time with machine learning and AI it will surely be able to generate ads depending on your personal interests but seems to me they will be very generic.

    It's also too early for this discussion IMO. After trying a few of these AI generators I can see the potential but they are far from what they need to be in order to replace a human being.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11732104].message }}
  • I think only when we start using: (1) the right data; (2) plan out the most suitable taxonomy structure before training set development; and (3) thoughtfully focus on the right lateral and vertical domains for a target objective would AI most likely provide more significant benefits than what we're getting now ...

    Use-Case Example: Instead of training AI models like BERT, DALL-E and variants such as Stable Diffusion to profoundly understand and generate unique written and visual content -- Training sets can focus on what gets more attention and clicks from an arbitrary ideal target audience, what compels more of those human viewres to spend more time on the material, and what converts more across those arbitrary niche markets in terms of CTRs, shares, compelling sentiment, subscriptions, first-time and repeat sales.
    • Now this is quite a complex human problem to comprehend. So I believe it'll be really challenging to develop a dataset that effectively covers these things ...

    I think it will be a tool like anything else. Some might use it more than others. If it could provide a big advantage most businesses would jump on board.

    However, I believe there will always be a need for the human touch element. If the use of AI in everything becomes so well known and prominent that even customers are aware what they are seeing is AI generated, it could become a selling point that a business provides "human to human" content and strategy, etc lol.

    So I think there is going to be a balance between AI and human intervention. Also if creators and marketers can't develop their skillset and creativity to their full potential and grow in their expertise, that need alone will create a boundary to prevent AI from taking over all aspects of content/ marketing.

    AI is getting faster and faster. It creates better and better content, and it will be more efficient in strategy planning and many online activities simply because it has the potential of learning faster than any human can.

    The only thing AI might have a difficulty is association between ideas and things but it is likely to be only a matter of time and data until AI becomes self-sufficient.

    The world is changing faster and faster as with technology so I would say it's very probable that AI will replace most jobs in the future.
