Why Do I have to Post to do things? ITS SO UNFAIR!
Hey all, I just wanted to rant about complaints I've seen off an on since I've been back here this week. Follow along, rant yourself, or call me out! Lets have some fun.
--------------------------
Why do I have to do 50 posts to do things?
--------------------------
HEAVEN FORBID WE'D LIKE TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING IMPORTANT TO SAY!!
Sounds bad, but hell. We're here to work, create, grow, and spammers, bitchers, whiners, moaners, and the like are a real downer and don't contribute a damn thing. They waste space.
The whole point of this forum is to LEARN. You don't need to post to learn, do you? Unless you have a question. Questions rock. We're the kind of folks here who will answer your questions and be happy to do so. We want you to learn. We want you to grow. I'll be the sap here and say we're a BIG FAMILY.
And if you whine, bitch and moan, and need your ass kicked verbally, YOU'LL GET IT! We're that kind of family. I'm sure some of these members remember how I had my little whining spell last year, I had all kinds of folks kicking my ass verbally. I needed it. I'm not afraid to admit it.
Hell! I bet Paul Myers, Steven Wagenheim (sorry if I spelled it wrong Steve!), Dana Willhoit, Big Mike, and even Allen himself have needed a good, swift verbal asskicking in their careers in IM. There are times that anyone and everyone can have every setback happen and they may want to just give up, its human to do so. Gather some friends to you who will kick your ass verbally if you need it.
---------------------
When will I see the money? I've been doing this for a few days! I need money now!!
---------------------
Let me be clear with you on several things my warrior brethren.
1.) The likelihood of you making that exclaimed "$1500 OVERNIGHT!" is almost nil if you don't have a decent plan in place, and have traffic, people finding your stuff, etc.
2.) Time is relative. I've been working on this stuff off and on for six years. SIX YEARS. You may fail a hundred times before finding what works for you. Because I don't care what everyone says, what these products say, IT WILL NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. A technique that worked for 20 people may have well worked for them, but there is no guarantee it will work for you. I'm sorry to say.
3.) Give yourself time to find what works for you. You know what this stress stuff does? It makes it harder to work, and makes it even harder for your work to be great. You need your $20,000 mortgage paid by tomorrow noon? It will be very, very difficult for you. Sorry. Advice I can give in that situation would be ask and see if you can put it off.
-------------------------
How will I know what works for me?
-------------------------
Well, thats a good question actually. The only way to really know, is to try one thing, give it your all. ONE THING AT A TIME!!
That was a mistake I've made a few times in the past, I tried running two websites, making three products, affiliate marketing, article marketing, SEO, etc etc etc. You will burn yourself out so fast if you put energy into a thousand things at once.
One thing at a time. If you need a website, a product, and articles written, work on one, then the other, then the other. Or maybe if you're a multi-tasker it can work for you, but it certainly didn't work for me.
------------------
Why do I have to accept the rules here or leave?
------------------
No shirt, no shoes, no service.
I think that explains that.
------------------
I have no clue what I'm doing.
------------------
May I say something?
Congrats, and good luck. By not knowing anything you have an undoubtedly clearer mind than a few jumbleheads like myself. But at the same time, you don't have years of experience and knowledge telling you what can and can't be a good move.
IF this is you, stick to your guns friends, and just get things done.
------------------
I don't want to spend money! I'm here to make it!
------------------
Well, how nice for you. Sorry to break it to you, but the best information on how to do this will have to be bought. Even if its just $37 to get into the War Room. Its not a lot, and its been more than worth it in the knowledge I've gleaned from it.
And personally, over the six years I've been trying this, I've spent thousands finding out what works, what didn't, what had good info, and what didn't. Trial and error. I don't regret any of the money gone. It has helped me in one way or another.
Not to say it couldn't be done for free, but hell if you don't eventually pay for something, some membership somewhere, hosting, domain name, etc.
I think that's the end of it. Let me know if I forgot anything my friends! And I don't mean to be overly harsh, but hell if some people don't need it.
Needed to get all this off my chest.
Have a wonderful week, night, day, time!
