Don't Feel Bad: Even the Big Zuckie Makes Mistakes

I came upon an article in Fortune which says FaceBook's great Big Zuckie missed out on a new trend (how people prefer to find/ get their new content). TikTok did not, so they managed to cut a big slice out of Big Zuckie's pie and eat it.

So, don't feel bad when you mess up; just learn from it. Here's what Big Zuckie learned:

"The thing that I think I sort of missed there though is there's a different loop around how people interact with discovered content," Zuckerberg said, explaining that people used to have a list of friends they followed to get their content. Now Zuckerberg thinks that "it is actually somewhat less important who produces the content that you're finding, you just want the best content."

PS: I'm not saying Big Zuckie put on pants one leg at the time like the rest of us, just that he did not see something that's cost him dearly.

Ha ― great post: Thanks DABK. Yeah we're all human and we all make mistakes ... The most important thing is to not let it get you down and to realize that many times it's actually an opportunity to learn something.

You can't be perfect and win every "point"! But you don't need that to be great!

I'll share a nice stat, between 2003 and 2022 Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have won +80% of the big tennis tournaments...Can you believe that they have "only" won around 54% of the points they have played? So they lose 46 of each 100 they play and they still have become the greatest of all time on their field

Mistakes happen, learn from them, tweak and try again.
Nobody can stand in your way and no obstacle exists that cannot be overcome. If you see yourself as a failure, you are defeated before you begin. There is no failure, there is only learning and just like FB guy, you don't let the mistakes stop you. He has made some much bigger mistakes, that cost a ton of money to his bottom line. He is still there, plugging away. That's the key. Never. Ever. Give Up!

Everyone makes mistakes. And everyone has missed a positive opportunity that might have a big impact on their life. But there's no point in regretting it. Start learning from mistakes. Try to see new opportunities, and work on them seriously.

  • tbh makesya wondah how such a frickin' imperfect world can continyoo even spinnin' -- let alone routinely generate the most spectaculah lifeform stuffs you wanna actschly die.

So you gotta smoochie on up steada beat on down.

(My view entirely, naht an ultradom celestial whipcrack from on high.)

An' most always that involves chocklit.

    Plus also flowahs.

    Mebbe even a surp-rise.

Thing is, gravity counts for so much in the final nailsys.

Gotta wish always it nevah dun don't.

Call me deeply shallow, but I figure always there are orbits an' trajectories an' schlompholes.

Plenny happnin' at once, all kinda gowin' on.

    & yanno what?

That is what makes my breakfasts so speshl.

Bcs I gone real doops on watchin' the sun rise while simultaneously imbibin' nootrients -- even if'n it means I gotta be tied to a horse & ridden away by a bandit.

In my view, the only thing Zig-Zag Buckie naht dowin' is showin' ya the knot.

Bcs othahwise you get offa the fkr, wunchah?

Good reminder to all of us that we can't always get everything right!

We can learn from our own mistakes, but also from others mistakes! It's always a good opportunity to grow.
