Can I increase my sales by creating a community forum and knowledge base on my website?

I've seen some articles that say community forums can improve your site's SEO and can boost sales.
But I don't have the energy to handle so much work and we have a team of 3 people.
So do I need to think about building a community forum? It's a huge job.

Looking forward to the Warriors' response

Why not hire someone to do the SEO work? Someone's going to work to create and maintain the forum. Does not have to be you.

This sounds like a good idea if you have more money than energy right now. Ever thought of fivver or upwork or other sites where you can hire someone that either knows how to do it or can be trained?

    Hi Damien,

yes - for me this worked on a website I was running. The beauty of a forum is that other people populate it with a lot of keywords that the Google "spiders and bots" pick up and you will find that your website moves up through the rankings.

Plus people that were on the forum would look at products I had for sale and it increased sales a lot.

The only problem with mine was that it got spammed quite a lot - so you would probably need a moderator or two!

    Hope this helps.

Forums take alot of work to create, grow, and manage. If 3 people aren't enough to manage your everyday marketing tasks, then I don't think a forum is in the cards for you right now.

Question: What do you want to create a forum for? Is it for the sake of having one (or because someone says it improves SEO), or because it plays a critical part in your marketing strategy?

You can use forums to build your SEO and sales.

The way to do that isn't to start your own forum. Unless you build it full time, it will quickly become a ghost town, with you being the only member that posts.

The way to use community forums is to post on other people's forums. These links go back to your website (or sales page), and you benefit from all their traffic and the SEO they have already built over the years. This forum is a prime example of one you can use to post content that leads readers back to you.
