Black Friday Competition Questions

Hi guys,

I have been taking a look at all the Black Friday sites and they all seem to have the listings of the major companies and their ads for November 27. First question, how the heck do they get these ads before hand? Second, is there any way that we can compete with that kind of competition or am I just wasting my time? I thought maybe an angle would be to get a little more specific with category name and then post by brand name.

For example, If I were selling treadmills, I would say my domain name would be like, "best treadmills.com" and then I would list treadmills by Amazon, Walmart, etc. by proper product name that were also available on special for Black Friday. Would this round about way to focus on Black Friday specials be able to compete with those big sites without having to compete for the word "Black Friday" which is probably already saturated, or am I thinking way out of my league and need to find a smaller niche?

Retailers release them before hand, just like every other special advertisement.
