Best way to setup blog funnel in IM/Business niche?

I switched my hosting since some seller on fiverr installed cracked theme in 2019 and had a malware attack spread all over cpanel last week. Going to use wordfence moving forward. Sadly I getting sales calls from this sitelock guy I lost faith in hostgator been with them since 2011

I got it cleaned up and now going to migrate to hostinger.

But my question is this:

I want to create a blog where I could also offer my ebooks and DIY credit repair video course showing how I went from 550 to 700s, IM beginner course, and other courses down the road and offer marketing consultations via zoom. Email Affiliate marketing as well.

This site will be city based for people who are in need of my services locally.

I cancelled Clickfunnels for now. And was wondering what Wordpress premium not too pricey theme would help me reach my goals?

My initial plan is to use Why 2023 is the time to start and grow your online business lead magnet. Then somehow segment them from there. I have a getresponse acct I just really want to build this list up with targeted subscribers who I was called to serve

But I also know some visitors will only want certain sections of the site. So I was wondering what type of survey should I use based on what subscribers want to know more about?

Also will this mean I should create lead magnets for each category I plan to offer on this blog first? People have short attention span these days how long should each lead magnet be?

Basically I'm asking what's the Best way to setup my blog funnel

I've had an online freelance agency going on 6yrs, sold solo ads and knowledgeable in some areas of IM world, also do a couple Virtual real estate deals. So I have a lot to offer on my blog.

Thanks for your advice

  • It sounds like you have a lot of valuable information and services to offer on your blog. For setting up your blog funnel, I would recommend using a Wordpress theme that is both visually appealing and easy to navigate. Some popular options for this include Divi, Astra, and Avada.

In terms of creating lead magnets, it's a good idea to have one for each category you plan to offer on your blog. This will allow you to segment your subscribers based on their interests and tailor your content to them. The length of the lead magnets can vary depending on the topic, but they should be long enough to provide value but short enough to keep the reader's attention.

For surveys, you can use a plugin like Gravity Forms to create custom surveys that ask subscribers what they want to know more about. This will help you understand their interests and tailor your content to them.

Lastly, as for your lead magnet "Why 2023 is the time to start and grow your online business" It sounds interesting and can be used as a hook to grab the attention of your visitors and make them subscribe to your email list.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thankyou

    Hey Jeff, how are you?

It does sound like you will be providing some great information for people, and I like that heading that Ali mention I am into Marketing so you can try in the headline as well to include in that suggestion from Ali something like an action where they click on it to get more information. For example, with the headline as mentioned and then after that something like Come and check this out now you will love this. Something like that it could be shorter but something that makes them click on it to check out more information. Sometimes, when I read things and I see there is a click-call to action I will automatically click on it so try that and see what happens....

Not digging on you but this is where many run into trouble... there is no such thing as a catch all "Blog Land Page" or maybe let me rephrase that... there is no such thing as a single lander page that will meet all of your needs.

Your "Home" page should be about as general as possible with gateways to what ever topics you are offering. Think of it more like a table of contents in front of a book, so the reader can find the topic of interest and go from there.

Having said that... You basically NEVER want to put out the link to your home page when you are out on say social media.

DIY credit repair postings and such ( on social ) should be pointed A) to the article, or B) to a specific lander on your page for that topic. The same being true with Marketing Consulting or affiliate marketing. The idea that one page is going to direct people with such a wide spread of interest simply does not work.

When it comes to the specific funnels you want the ability to put topic specific lead magnets based on the content of the page. You do not want Marketing Consulting lead magnets on DIY Credit pages. you want to link these type of things maybe in the footer section. You basically want to keep each topic somewhat separate and within CONTEXT of itself.

In terms of a theme... Divi comes to mind... or on the free side StoreFront ( it aint just for commerce ) both are absolutely bullet proof - play well with updates - just solid platforms to build with.

        Hope that Helps!

  • Hey Jeff,
The angle of your blog landing page should be tailored to your target audience and the topic of your blog. It should clearly communicate the main focus and value of your blog, and be designed to encourage visitors to explore further and interact with your content.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thankyou
