Removing language on a multilingual site
Hey everyone,
I am planning to remove a language from my multilingual site due to business decision. It brings me a decent amount of traffic so what I'm considering is the following:
- Remove hreflang and x-default tags
- Permanently redirect the pages to their equivalent in the default language page
But apart from that, is there anything else in your opinion that I should consider?
Yes, we will definitely see some loss in traffic sicne we our site won't be optimized for that language but for the impact to be as little as possible, do you think there's something else I should consider?
