Registering my affiliate marketing business?

Hi all, I've been consistently making money doing affiliate marketing (CPA Lead Gen). I use paid traffic. I'm not making thousands of dollars a day though.

I consider myself to be a business owner although I have no business license (I'm a sole proprietor but my business isn't registered with the government).

I would like to be able to list my transferrable skills on a resume when I apply for regular non-affiliate marketing jobs.

Have any of you registered your affiliate marketing business? What kind of business do you list your business as? Media buying company?

Please help

Thanks

What is stopping you? Are you currently violating your local laws with your online business?

That you can profit from your OWN BUSINESS is likely to be more impressive to a potential employer than a previous job would be.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

People will go by your business name and your description of your business.

You can stay general, like in Blue's Marketing Services, LLC or Inc

or even BMS, Inc or LLC.

Or some random word(s) you find fun, like
    Why because, Inc.

I've registered my online business as "My Internet Marketing Empire"

If you're generating an income online, then it's best to let the tax man know in which entities you're generating an income in. You in your personal capacity may not legally receive over a certain amount of money/income through your online business per month, but your legal entities LLC's etc. may legally receive any amount of income per month online.

Not good to take legal or financial advice from a forum like this - advice may well be from someone in another country with laws that don't apply to you.
