Monetization with Adsense

I'm wondering about people's experiences with Google Site Kit or manual placement of Adsense ads.
It's good if we can track which pages attract the most clicks.
We can do this with a unique ad unit placed manually, but is it possible to obtain detailed tracking info with Site Kit?
And what about the aesthetics of the site's appearance? (assuming we care!)
Site kit seems to just interpose a huge ad right in the visitor's face, as opposed to a tasteful placement according to our choice.
Which form of placement generates more income?
I'd love to know about your experiences.

  • Thanks agmcall.
I went to the link you posted and my attention was drawn to the following info:

Review the main dashboard on a weekly basis and check for any significant changes in how people are finding your site. Are people finding your site from a new place?
Keep track of how your recent posts are doing by checking the individual page reports.
Compare the top performing pages and how people found them. Is a particular topic or product attracting more visitors from social channels?

I'm still curious tho, as to how it performs in the real world.
I have Site Kit on my site, and it just seems to put a big ad right in users' faces.
