Would Corey Rudl stuff stand up to today's Gurus

Just doing some packing and came across my old Corey Rudl Stuff. I remember they were very inspirational. What a great speaker.

But would they be as relevant and as effective today. He wasn't around for the emergence of Face book and Twitter.

I can't think of too much else that is different now than 5 years ago.

I don't hear of IMC so much these days, could they now be a marginalised force without him?

    Terrible shame about Corey.
He would have moved with the times I'm sure.

I'm an old student of Cory Rudl, Derek Gehl has since taken over his business. I don't think Derek is as dynamic as Cory was but he has updated all Cory's Course materials to meet today's internet marketing challenges. I think if Cory was here today he'd most definitely rise to the occasion and he'd still be a marketing contender out there.

I think Derek is holding his own, I don't know their business figures but you are right, you don't hear much from the IMC nowadays. I still promote the internet marketing course but it's not topping the charts in sales, which is too bad, I still think it's a great marketing course for anyone starting out online. BTW, they no longer offer it in binder form, it's all online now.

I do think though that Cory is missed and we'd be hearing a lot more from the IMC if he were still alive.

Corey would certainly be a "guru" still.

I didn't get into the IM realm until after he died, but it was his 695 page ebook course from 2002 that I found on the internet that got me into it. Before that I had no clue about IM and. I didn't even know what adwords was. The thing that impressed me about Corey's book was the detail about how to do different things. There was very little of the high level, "rah-rah you can do it!" crap that I had always dismissed as a scam before. Instead his book was chock full of of nitty gritty nuts and bolts type info that was incredibly useful to me, even though the book was about 4 years out of date when I found it.

Corey made me believe I could actually make money on the net.

I'm sorry I never got a chance to thank him.

I got into the IMC's stuff after Corey passed away. Derek used to be their CEO, but has since moved on. I used to hear a lot more from them when Derek was still there. I learned everything I know about IM from that company and I think it's a great company.

I use their ebook software and web builder and both have made me some good money.

But, the best course out there is the Insider Secrets course. That's the first IM course I bought and I still think it's the best. Everything you need to know is in there.

Makes me feel very ancient that so many of the current crop of marketers are probably thinking ''who is this Corey Rudl .. never heard of him' and move on.

Shows how easy it is to be forgotten in IM.

I don't know about that. I would be willing to bet that most of them know who he is.

  • I miss Corey. He is responsible for my understanding this crazy world online. I agree that you don't hear of IMC as often anymore. BUT what IMC taught and still teaches (bought the 2009 Insider Secrets Course) is find your market and see what they want to buy before you build and sell any product. It's a simple, but important fact that many entreprenuers forgot because they fall too in love with their own ideas. Me included

We all owe a LOT to Corey, even if you don't know who he is , you probably owe a lot to him.

He was always ahead of the curve and would have kept bang up to date I'm sure.

To boot he was ethical and produced quality products.
