Gday Warriors

I currently have a blog that recieves 500 uniques per day. I want to monitize this traffic selling my own ebook.

How could I go about this?

My plan so far is this-
Ebook cover designed
Ebook ready to go
Using E-junkie to deliver the ebook.

Is this a good plan? Has anyone had experience with e-junkie?

Thanking you in advance.

you can build your list by giving some sort of freebie after that you can sell the ebook by setting up an autoresponder serie.

i have never used ejunkie before but I think its good becauise i bought many wso's thro ejunkie sevice

I have used payloadz, upclick, click2sell, and trade bit. At this point they are have advantages and disadvantages. Payloadz is easy to use and you can pay per month or a commission. I have also devised a way to sell an ebook using paypal and I use google gmail to send an autoreponse when I get a sale with where the product is hosted. This is the lowest cost way I can think of

  • Hi

Yes I use E-junkie for my digital deliveries and find them to be excellent for what I use them for. The plan sounds good enough so hope it goes well for you and good luck

Question 1: Is your e-book targeted to the topic of your blog? In other words, is it something those 500 uniques are going to want? Because, if not then it's just untargeted traffic. But if it does match what they are already looking for, then you're looking at conversions.

Question 2: I've never used e-junkie, but I once tried to promote a product for someone who was using it. Nightmare. Why not use something that works well for delivery - and gives you full control - like Sam Stephen's DL Guard? (Sam's on here somewhere. Great product)

Yes the traffic is highly targetted. Ejunkie looks inviting to me because it handles everything. Technically I'm clueless so I want something that's hands free or automatic.

Thanks for the recommendation Kevin, while looking it up.

Some potential problems I see are:
Distractions from other links and ads on the sales page.
Affiliates may not want to promote it because of those distractions (leaks).

For those reasons I'd use a separate sales page.

Ejunkie supports affiliate payments according to its sales page, but have warriors had any experience with it. At the moment its 1-1 which doesn't really help me make a decision.

  • For selling ebooks, my service is pretty straight forward to use and for what you are needing it for the $4.95 per mth package will work fine.

I do very well selling directly from blogs.

With a sales letter, you have one chance. With a blog, you have as many chances as you have blog entries.

Rumor has it that the new FTC rules are due to some unsavory tactics using in the weight loss industry on flogs (fake blogs).

These sites were making millions and using adult industry like tactics. I also hear that the adult industry has largely switched over to using blogs.

These guys might not be the kind of people you want to hang out with, but they are very, very marketing smart.

Blogs are the new sales letters.

Even Clickbank products are starting to use informating multipage layouts that resemble blogs more and more.

Check out the blog in my sig line to see how I set up my blog to be the ultimate sales letter and still be a comfortable blog.

Do some searches for "****" and you'll still find a lot of "weight loss" sales sites that look like blogs.

Blogs work very well for selling.

If it's about digital delivery, and payment integration (with Paypal)...

I'd like to blow my own horn here. I created this for the non-techies. Maybe it doesn't have much customization options (maybe zero) but it's SUPER SIMPLE. No fees, no registrations... just upload and sell.

I will personally put a sticky post on top of the blog to promote the ebook directly. It is true that the majority of the visitors will not purchase the product but some will still buy.

You might want to put an opt in form on the right side of the blog offering free reports or something else so that you can capture some of the visitors who are not buying to be subscribers. This will gives you the opportunity to follow up with them and convert more of them into paying customers.

I personally did not use E-junkie but I have good experience purchasing products from people who are using E-junkie

I use e-junkie for an e-book download for only $5 per month with a good amount of file space. I used Payloadz but found paying like $30-50/month for my ebook sale was too much once sales slowed.

Just posted this on WF elsewhere, but Dave Navarro has a great tute that helped me get my product setup:
How To Use E-Junkie.com To Sell Your Stuff

As for an ebook plan. I have written a couple that did well and have 2 more planned in my head.

I usually think of a good marketable topic and title.
Create an outline to write from (it helps alot)
Make a simple ebook template in Word
Write the e-book by chapter (sometimes out of order in the beginning, but the outline helps split up the ideas and keep track).
Proofread and turn word doc into a PDF.
Set up product and upload to e-junkie
    Make the Sales page/site

Another great resource: The free ebook guide on this blog- it's good!
