That was pretty brilliant really. It's nice to see some originality still - and I really do love 'local' commercials for just that reason.

    I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!! F***ING GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HONESTLY, i have worked in sales, marketing and customer service for years and people truly do appreciate the truth, thats why im such a big believer in it. At themoment i work for a HUGE international manufacturer (most of you have something of theirs at home or work) and we have this one product which is plain crap, i used to bend the truth saying stuff like "well its not that its not good, its just that..." Now i tell them the truth (obviously in a way i can still keep my job) its soooo much easier, im not wasting energy on lying or worrying about being caught, and the customers love it!

    LOVE IT

I think he should not have said he did not care, because that may make people think he doesn't value them as a customer or possible customer.

That's because he doesn't value them as a customer or possible customer. It's part of the brutally honest thing he's going with. As long as they sell, he doesn't care who buys them.

Strange but the guy sounds to me like Sebastian in the movie Blade Runner.
    Cool commercial too.
Fence posts in the face...just make me want one,I prefer one without the mystery stains please.
Smokin' Girl Salesperson'd probably hurt me
But, as good as it is I like the other clip about the zoo better

I don't know if the FTC will like it. There are several statements made that could mislead the customer and even cause them to purchase.

He says some of them have stains.

The FTC might want to know if he has studies to show exactly how many have stains? And what exactly do they call a stain? how many stains is the typical customer going to get? What kind of stains and how big are the stains. Does the typical customer mind the stains? How much? Has he done studies on this.

He says he got hit by a fence post and a wrench. What if the typical customer expects the same results? Does he have research to show what each customers experience has been? For example how many have called him a &*$@# after buying from him. How many have hit him AND called him a &*$@#

Do you see how misleading this ad really is and how it could unfairly influence someone to buy from him :p

It is pretty cool. Reminds me, in some weird way of a marketing documentary I saw called Czech Dream. They basically marketed a fake supermarket opening by telling everyone not to show up next Saturday morning because the deals would be too good and the lines too long.

Funny how an outright lie and the honest truth are both novel marketing concepts right now.
