Article Marketing Question

I am not 100% sure if I am doing this right. I have a goal of 5 articles a day going this month and for the past 5 days I have had no troubles. My question is this though...

5 Articles per day for a month is 150 Articles

Does 150 Articles = 150 unique long-tail search phrases?

I don't think I will have any trouble writing 150 articles, my trouble is coming from the fact that I can't find enough keywords that actually get searched. Sure I can throw up 150 articles with random keywords, but it doesn't help me if they aren't keywords that actually produce traffic. This is in a huge niche too, so maybe my idea of keywords just isn't broad enough. I am using long-tail phrases also.

IE: How can I get rid of my love handles fast

Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas? Thanks again in advance as always!

I know the forum has a search function. I have used it and I may have even come across my answer, I am just not seeing it anywhere .

    I would write 10 article pr. phrase. When you start seeing some results you can adapt your marketing plan.

    Do you send your traffic direct to the salespage or do you use a squeeze page or a blog?

      I use a squeeze page, and the majority of my articles I can get to rank #1-5 within a few days usually without too much of an issue.

      So you're saying its still beneficial to write more articles for a single keyword even if I currently hold the number one ranking for that keyword?

      I guess holding #1 - 5 is better than just holding #1.

        Exactly, plus the more articles you have out the there, the more visitors you'll get from the directories.

        But then again, it's all a matter of finding the right balance between amount of work and payout.

    Hi tjames,

    I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but here goes.

    To put it simply, you can write more than one article per keyword phrase.

    I hope that makes sense based on the question I think you're asking.

    If you cannot find anymore, check forums related to your niches and see the threads which are most active. Write articles about those questions/issues.
    When you run out of this also, start writing about multiple niches.

    Plus,you can also write articles that are related to your article and link that article to your best article thats ranked at #1.
    This will help to keep that article ranked at #1 since you have something linked to it.

    I would write 15 - 20 articles per keyword phrase and make sure they do not repeat and sound similar. I would use different information and use tips in the article because you probably could think up 100 different tips on the spot. While article #1 might contain tips 1, 2, and 3 article #2 would contain tips 4, 5, and 6.. and so on..

    Nothing wrong with writing articles for the same keyword phrase and there is also nothing wrong with writing a few to grab some off keyword phrase either. Meaning some keywords that might not be exactly related but are somewhat similar. Sometimes hitting keywords that are off a little can pay off, many people miss this when doing article marketing because they keep focused only on those high searched for keywords with little competition.

      You just opened up a completely new realm of writing for me! In the past I would have just put all 10 tips or so into one long article. Never thought of the possibility of doing a part 1/part 2 type of thing.

      This is making a lot more sense now, thank you.

        Not a problem at all, glad to be of help... Just make sure those tips are a few sentences long. Do not write just a few words per tip.

        I personally do not write 250 word articles, I write normally between 500 - 1,200 words. So in your tips just make sure they are explained in details.

    There have been some great answers to the question so far, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. In regards to the keywords that you are focusing the article around, make sure that it is a buying keyword, something that insinuates that someone is looking for a result. Hope that makes sense.

      Are you meaning something like....catching someone in the end of the buying cycle?

      IE: I need [insert problem here] by [deadline]

      instead of something general like:

      I need help losing weight
