I've heard a lot of good things about it from people who haven't used it. They say it's a really good way to get started and they wish they'd had it available.

I've heard a lot of insults about it from people who haven't used it. They say you can't make enough money with it, and the sites all end up looking the same.

I've read their guides, which are pretty much run-of-the-mill internet marketing ebooks. They're no better or worse than things I've paid to read.

But I have never met anyone who admits to using SBI! to build their online business or make any money.

My personal take on it is that you can almost certainly learn the basics there, and probably even make some money. Probably not a lot. You'll probably outgrow it quickly. But if you're thinking about getting into affiliate marketing, I can't see it being any worse than using generic web hosting, and the cost is reasonably low.

I appreciate your post and i have reviewed this sooner.....I have made a choice on it and will go for it... i love challenges and people will always disagree and agree on an subject. every non SBI site i have tracked thru and thin has more ranking in the top 100,000 than the so called generic web site...taking out time and growing a business is what matters....

      thank u

It's probably not bad for someone who needs a lot of handholding and love bombing to help them build a single site.

For someone who can take initiative on their own, who wants to spend their money wisely and wants to work with newer technologies like WordPress and Joomla rather than circa 1999 technology, it's best to pass on it.

I bought one of these for my wife...

The program is cumbersome and rather "clunky". It also limits the size of pics etc.

The time to "submit" too takes forever - this happens when you build new pages or change existing files.

I am sure this program is great for many folks however if you know the difference between a jpg and html - you are better hosting on your own with HostGator and either using wordpress or your own html.

I concur, the appearance of the SiteSell sites is dated. They
teach the fundamentals of niche research well however.

There is an undercurrent of feeling in the SBI ethos that you
should look for an uncompetitive niche - which I do not agree
with because competitive niches are where the money is.

Back when SBI started some clients discovered goldmine niches
nobody had exploited online before and did well in them. Those
days are, as a practical matter, over with now.

I use XsitePro and I think it makes better-looking sites than
SBI and it has excellent SEO features. No handholding for niche
    research included.

The downside of SBI is they basically hold your site hostage to
their hosting, so if you want to move to a cheaper host
(economy hosting is much cheaper than SBI) you lose your
layout and have to rebuild your site in another site-builder.

Anyway, the training with SBI seems to be good.

  • The major flaw as I see it is not what they offer, or even the price... except that you are locked in and it's a lot of work to move to another platform. My major complaint is like all "box" solutions, the SBI sites look very plain jane and canned.

I have yet to come across any SBI site in the top 10 of any niches I work. But there must be some out there in the long tail world.

SBI is really for the non-techy person. The template is so tediously time consuming to use. I'm surprised that they dont really have much flexibility with the templates.

This business is good for people who have a lot of time and patience and will plug away at it for years to come.

Basically the premise is to build a highly targeted niche website with hundreds of pages of content to get into high ranking SERPs.

If you dont have time and patience then this is not for you.

Price wise its pretty expensive yearly.

The training meant to be simple is too laborious to learn.

I've got an SBI site that does around $1200 a month.

My personal take on it is that you can almost certainly learn the basics there, and probably even make some money. Probably not a lot. You'll probably outgrow it quickly. I started out there. It does work. Whether or not you buy it should depend on your knowledge of online marketing. If you are completely new to IM then it can be beneficial.
