Best domain and hosting prices/quality

Hey guys,

I am in the midst of purchasing a few domains and setting up WP on them. Im wondering where is the best place to purchase both domains and hosting at a good price but that won't get randomly taken away like I've heard horror stories.

I currently have only used GoDaddy for domains and hosting but it costs me roughly $60 per site. Im looking to spend less than that since I am about to purchase a handful of sites. Ive heard good things about hostgator? just looking for some Warrior opinions. thanks

    Hello,

i buy all my domains at dynadot.com

What i like about is that they accept paypal and it takes me literally a minute or two after purchasing a name to have domain ready and running. Their interface is easy, i just totally love them. Its also easy to set nameservers.

    For hosting i recommend
ukcheaphosts.com - ultra cheap, ultra good. Good support, good speed. Has all i need and if i need something i write the owner a email and get it. Ridiculously cheap for the service they offer. (1$ a month (!!) and unlimited subdomains, addon domains...nuff said...)

I also like hostnine.com reseller hosting, they have a reseller hosting where you can make accounts using different IPs/locations, so called "SEO hosting" but 1000x cheaper than some scam-"seo hosting" companies.

I also have a VPS running at solarvps.com

All of those i can HIGHLY recommend. I usually avoid mainstream discounters likes godaddy, hostgator etc..for various reasons. Servers overcrowded, script kiddies etc...

For domains, I use NameCheap.com and for hosting, I use HostGator's reseller plan, which is $24.95, although you can go with one of their basic plans for like $10/month or less.

  • You can host a lot of sites on the baby plan at hostgator for like $9.95 a month. I have had as many as 25 sites on one account.

I host all my low-volume sites on a $45 a month VPS at future hosting, they are exceptional value and the VPS has over 25 cpanels on it ticking over nicely.

You can use "goaz006c" code to buy .com for $6.99 at godaddy.

For hosting if you prefer hostgator its $9.95 for baby plan and you can host around 70-80 sites, later you can upgrade to reseller plan there if have good trafiic. Use "hgc25" to get 9.94 off first month (Its not affiliate codes)

Thanks for the tips, Georg. Have never heard of the providers you mentioned above, I think it's amazing that you can get hosting for $1 a month, would this be comparable and equal to hostgator's baby ($10/month) plan?
