Google Keyword Tool is GeoTargeting

I'm trying to do keyword research on niches and Google is looking at my local IP and returning keyword results based on this IP.

This is not good. No way for me to accurately market niches I work. I do not care about local search trends as the products I am targeting have nothing to do with my local market.

Aside from Using Proxy anyone know how to stop this behavior?

make sure you are logger out of google

I wasn't logged into anything. Cleared the Browser Cache as well. I had actually just fired up for the day and had a brand new IP as the modem will grab a new one when I power cycle it.

Michael thank you. I'll have to see if this has any effect on the Google keyword tool. I haven't downloaded it yet.

try going to

www.google.com/ncr

I think this is a trick to go to the "international" google, regardless in what country you are in - and it sets your default google to the intl. google.

i suppos you'll need to move to the city of your targeted niche. Google is getting very James Bond like :-)
