I don't know if this has any thing to do with anything, but I am seeing this little "sellathon" thing at the bottom with the word error next to it.

    Anyway,

Bring in the text a bit - I think it goes too wide.

Also, you don't really have that much content on the page.

    Consider this part:

New for 2009 ; UGG Women's Bailey Button Boot is a calf-height boot made from genuine twin-face sheepskin. Supplied brand new in box.

Ok, here you have an opportunity to tell me what is so great about the calf height boot, what the heck is twin face sheepskin and why do I want that. What is making your ugg boots better than anyone elses?

I have been known to spend MORE on a seller who is the most familiar with the product. There is some additional trust added.
    Signature

"May I have ten thousand marbles, please?"

  • your going to struggle selling them at buy it now price, also as the above poster says, i'd add more content. here's a tip research the product your selling and write as if you wear those all the time. you need to try and sell the product by words, not just the name.

if you have a good mar up on them try a couple starting at 99p, because they'l always end up being near the price you are asking if the customer see's and feel's like there real and authentic. (there's alot of those faked on ebay)

Okay, I did an eBay search for UGG BAILEY BOOTS and it returned 561 hits. Prices are all close and shipping costs are also close. So, you're in a competitive market with little difference in price.

I was once a Power Seller on eBay. I sold whatever was hot but primarily started with niche books... business and spiritual. Certain popular titles are a lot like boots or anything popular. Prices are very competitive and shipping is too.

Here's what I did that allowed me to OFTEN get the sale in such a market. I offered a BONUS. I had a really cool CD with games, ebooks, recipes, short videos and other interesting and weird stuff that I offered along with highly competitive products. And guess what? When people saw that they could buy the same item from a dozen or more sellers they'd often buy from the guy who gave them a little extra.

I had a write-up for the bonus that was almost always much bigger than for the actual product itself... and I played up that CD up to the max. The CD was so interesting to people that I had buyers email me saying that they didn't even care about the primary offering because it was the CD they really wanted.

I once got an angry email from a guy who said he got the book but not the CD. He was upset because he'd bought my listing just to get the CD. I assured him it was an oversight and sent it out right away.

Now I'm not saying you should be offering a CD with your boots because it may not fit with your niche. But you might consider offering a scarf or handkerchief or an inexpensive suede brush or maybe a PDF report on caring for fine boots or something with a high perceived value that will help people go with your auction over your competitors... and something that is light weight and not likely to bump your shipping costs up either. In the boot business I don't know what that bonus might be, but maybe you can figure it out. Good luck!

You've already gotten some great advice here but I'll throw in my two pence. ;- )

First, I agree with the earlier poster that said your content is too wide. This may not be a big deal but it's harder to read than it ought to be.

As far as ideas for improvement goes, here are two:

    (1) If you're going to stay with a "buy it now" listing you should consider adding the "make an offer" feature. eBayers are looking for great deals and if you only post a buy it now price, it had better be priced really low.

You're in control of which offers you will (or won't) accept so there isn't any risk.

    (2) You could list using the regular auction format and use a really low starting bid (with no reserve) or at least start at your wholesale cost. I am not saying it's not possible to lose money this way (it is) but I have done this hundreds of times with great success.

    Good luck!

The use of model pictures help a great deal. Selling clothing is different from selling most other things on eBay. What I've discovered is that with clothing, people want everything presented to them before they have to scroll down. Talk about a lazy target group!

    I'll show you,

Black Classic SHORT Ugg Boots Uggs Size 10 - eBay (item 120495085027 end time Nov-25-09 15:38:13 PST)

UGG Australia NEW Womens Swell Tall Leather Boots Sz 10 - eBay (item 290366874286 end time Nov-11-09 19:25:59 PST)

It appears the listings is more than a listing, but an actual web page. All of the pictures and content are clustered together so the eyes don't have to scroll down through information.
