Need Wordpress Theme - Magazine style

Hi,

I'm looking for a Wordpress theme (but struggling to find one) that has a magazine style layout, BUT they layout needs to be split up inside an actual post.

This is for a company's internal newsletter, and I want each newsletter to be a new Post.

The Post itself needs to be split up into different sections, and not just layed out in one column, but a funky looking magazine style, broken up into different subheadings.

Does anyone know of one that'll do this?

I've found a heap that will do a magazine/newspaper style on the front page, but then each post is just one column of text. I want the actual post to be broken up into different sections.

Does that make sense?

About the closest I can think of are the revolution themes. The company is now called Studiopress. Anyway, here are 2 links to check out.

Studiopress was one of the ones I found, actually - great looking themes! I just think the original requirement may be impossible to do with Wordpress. May need to look at other options.

Thanks for the link, that's a really nice looking template.

I was hoping for the actual post itself to be broken up into different sections - kind of like if you look at one page of a newspaper, and there's all little columns of various sizes.

Nice layout, though!

Sam: There is a good article on how to easily and automatically display your post content in columns. I think this can be used on just about any theme.

WordPress hack : Automatically output the content in two columns

Here's the code, but better check the link above to verify.

This code is poweful but definitely easy to implement. Just paste it on your functions.php file and it will automatically output your post content in columns. Your post content will be split on <h2> tags.

function my_multi_col($content){
$columns = explode('<h2>', $content);

$i = 0;

foreach ($columns as $column){
if (($i % 2) == 0){

I think Sam may already have found what he needs in BlackBookProjects post.

That plugin is great for up to 4 columns of various widths and you can (if you want!) mix the number of columns within a post. No need for additional coding.

Lots of great info here. I've got one more for you, there is a thread going on now about this theme by avenuegirl but the headway theme has to be what you're looking for.

You can create whatever style you want, drag and drop, no coding required.

Very much appreciated - I'll run through everything a bit later - need to discuss with the client some other issues that may make Wordpress impossible for this task, so we'll see how it turns out.

I'm thinking the easiest way would just be to use tables to create the desired layout inside the post itself.

You could then use a post template plugin to automate the process from then on.
