Need Help on New Youtube Channel

I just started a new Youtube Channel and like to seek help from anyone who is an experienced Youtuber for his business. I encountered a few issues and hope that anyone who knows the answer would help me understand how to find the solutions.

1. I just started about a month ago and have published just 10 shorts videos. However the views are not coming, getting just 400-500 views per video and only a handful of subscribners. Is this normal for a new channel. Is it a Youtube algorithm kind of thing?

2. I am not able to pin (first) comment on my videos. Same for adding related videos on eachj videop. I'm phone verified but my Advanced features still shown as 'eligible' and not 'enabled' as should be. I tried to do video verification many times and each time received back the email verification steps and I verified in the Youtube app on my phone but it stopped short after that. Not sure if it's a problem with my phone model. Was expecting further instructions to self record 30 seconds of me but that did not take place. I guess the only other option is to wait till my channel has more videos to make it more established before Youtube enabled this function.

First Update
----------------
Yesterday my Youtube Channel had the Advanced Features turned on for the first time. I guess Youtube needed to see enough published videos before this was automatically turned on. It came as I was publishing my 12th video.

Second Update
---------------------
I solved the issue with my pin comment problem. It was a case of not doing it the right way. I have to click the video after it is published then go to comment section to write a comment and then pin it. Still learning!

1.Issue: Hi! First, these issues are normal and common. In fact, they are not issues; it's the YouTube algorithm that makes you feel like your channel is not growing. That's not true it's just the algorithm showing your video in suggestions. If your videos get 400-500 views per video, that's really wonderful! My friend started his channel and initially got just 10-50 views per video. So, if you get 400-500 views per video that's really good, don't worry about the views.
2.Issue:if not able to pin comments this is common because your channel was new hasn't made enough progress sometimes youtube want some progress and activity history but i think a month was enough for that feature i think if you have just complete email verification it is not enough for advanced features you need number verification to verify identity and if you already have complete your number verification than you need to use youtube studio app or try it on computer i think youtube most of features are enable on computer desktop so, I advise you to use YouTube Studio on desktop. These issues are common so, don't worry.
    be relax and don't worry.

      Thanks Martin.
I actually had been phone verified for a long time just that I never published any videos on my channel until recently. I only got started youtube publishing just more than a month now. But all is good as yesterday I got my advanced features turned on for the first time after 12 videos and could now add related videos which is important. But the pinned comment is still not available so that bugs me.

Regarding the issues with pinning comments and adding related videos, try contacting YouTube support to resolve this technical problem. It might be an issue with account verification or phone settings.

I can Give tip on short views, I personally tried and it worked for me. not sure what's your niche. mine was gaming probably that may be a reason of good no. views. anyways what I normally do with short videos. 1 select a best thumbnail for your short video it should be appealing or controversial. 2 find a music to add with your short video(pick top music suggestions). adding hastags in the titile. And above all. be regular in posting video or shorts. Youtube don't like seasonal creator. Regular Video creator's videos gets good exposer via recommended video feature of youtube. 80% of my views comes from this feature.

Good on starting your Youtube channel, With about 500 views in 1 month is a good status. Do you leverage youtube as a marketing for your buisness? Depending on the aim of the channel, Number of subscribers matter are they leads (Target audience)?
Also your the type of content among other this is important.

I am not a YouTuber but heard tips about getting new content out every single day. So you want to upload new videos every day or every other day.

If you stay consistent, over time some of your videos will get ranked high and get you more views and more subscribers.

Actually I learned that being consistent in publishing videos is only a small part of how to rank higher. That alone won't necessarily get you ranked higher. Like if you publish daily but with boring content or poor video quality, you will still get little or no views. SEO is also very important for ranking just like our websites as after all Youtube is the second largest search engine. So think keywords on title, description etc are very important for ranking.

Getting 400-500 views is a pretty good start. Make sure you keep publishing regularly, innovate your content, and make attractive thumbnails. Initially you can share your videos in your groups where you have a high chance of getting views. As much the people keep watching, youtube algorithm will continue to boost your video and send it to more and more people.

So, don't skip your routine and try publishing videos on a daily basis. Plus, you should also start making long videos. A mix of long and shorts videos is the best strategy for organic channel growth.

Thanks Olivia for your encouragement. I am now using TubeBuddy for my SEO. Doing keyword research is such a breeze and it tells me how well SEO'ed my video is before I published. No more shooting in the dark like before. Glad I found this.

Device max+ unique IP internet + minimum 10-30 seconds watch time= 1 view
You said you are getting 500 views average for your short videos.
So if you think 10 seconds for each view: than you have already 5000 seconds= 83.33 hours
Every views have an unique value.
So you are earning good number of views.
    Keep continue.
Upload minimum one on every week or once in 2 weeks or once in a month.

    Hope you will get monetization.
Always use unique content to get monetization approval.

      Hi Cent Jhon.
      Thanks for the encouragement.

      5000 seconds= 83.33 MINS (NOT HRS)
I think monetization is a long way for me. Are you monetized already. How long did you take to reach it.
