Best solution for Kunaki/1shoppingcart automation?

Hey everybody,

Can anyone recommend a simple, efficient and effective way to integrate 1shoppingcart and Kunaki? So that when the customer places an order for their 'free' +shipping and handling CD - the order details are sent directly to Kunaki.

I've done a bit of research and there is quite a range in price for a php script.

So, what do you use?

All information gratefully accepted as this is new territory for me

Thanks in advance

Marcus

I don't use 1ShoppingCart. Does it post back to your website?
If it posts back, I suppose you just fire off the order details to Kunaki right?

Unless someone at 1Shoppingcart gets smart and adds that feature.

Are you stuck on what to fire off to kunaki or something else?

Hmm, does anybody here automate Kunaki with 1shoppingcart?

Alternatively has anybody got any experience with:

      Simeon Tuitt's £300 1shoppingcart Kunaki automater?

      Or...

The $47 Disc buddy automation software?

      Or...

      The £45 Gurobotpro automation software?

      Thanks for your help

        Can't anybody help?

Seems strange to me that there isn't somebody here out of all you Warriors that uses 1shoppingcart and Kunaki - and has successfully automated it.

I'm still very new around here, so is there some kind of secret I don't know of?

Though it has got me thinking that if I can find an elegant, effective and right priced solution to this problem - I might have a great product to market.

Unless of course nobody does automate 1shoppingcart with Kunaki

        Thanks anyway.

        Kindest regards

        Marcus

Don't buy Gurubot, just spend 2 days trying to get it working, and it just doesn't integrate with 1SC if you use PayPal.

The guy wants you to assign the IPN of paypal to gurubot. then all the automation functions in 1SC won't work anymore...

          Very bad experience!

cuz i'm on the same path like you, trying to figure that part out in the same way, as offer for "free" CD, just pay S&H, here is my next experience...

Disc Buddy... no way! wrong integration... they want you to get people to fill in their payment details in 1SC, the pay, and the thank you page will be filling in the shipping details into the Disc Buddy system...

too many steps before launching into the real sales pitch... you wear the customer out before they ever see your offer...

if you try Simon's thing, or find any other workable solution, please let me know! can't seem to get this thing automated...

Maybe slightly off topic, but ...

I started investigating this "scene" using Paul Ponna's "Disc Mojo". This was based on php and did seem a little limited.

Ever one to rise to a challenge(!) I set about creating a version in PERL. I integrated it to run with PayPal and the IPN program. I also added my own simplistic shopping cart, a product directory where numerous CD's / DVD's could be added (by one user), and a wholesale and dropship option. (And yes, it did take several months to write!!)

On reflection, I now think most users will only have one or two CD's they want to promote; I don't think the average user will have dozens of items to promote in the same way they do with ebooks.

I won't add a link to my site here. I don't want it to be seen as an advert. But feel free to contact me should this sort of product be of interest to anyone.

if you are a 1SC customer, go to their suggestions page and vote for my suggestion that they integrate it.

that'd be the easiest solution of all... them sending the order out to Kunaki via XML!

    Hi there,

Here's one way you can get your order details to any third party fulfillment vendor automatically from 1SC.

    1. Create your product.

    2. Create an autoresponder that goes out after the sale. In the product section, under Optional Values => Upsell => Autoresponders - use the dropdown to select the autoresponder you just created. This associates that autoresponder (AR) with that product, and adds new customers to that AR.

    3. Go back to your Autoresponder. Click on the AR you created for this product.

    4. Click 'New Message' to create a new AR message.

    5. There is a line in the AR creation section labeled 'Alternate Destination' - when you fill in an alternate email here, instead of this message being sent to the customer, it goes to whatever email you enter. So, you could enter a fullfillment house email that you know they will respond to appropriately, or a VA's email, or even your own, to remind you to contact that customer after a specified period of time.

    6. In the email you create, you can give the vendor instructions (you will need to have made arrangements beforehand for payment, etc.) - and you can automatically have the customer's info entered into the email, using the Merge Insert Menu codes.
Since you are setting this up tied to a specific product, you can easily include that product name in the email to the vendor.

Hope this helps - and as always, test it before really using it by sending an email to yourself via Alternate Destination to be sure it still works the same way (correctly, and as you want it to work).

Not sure if you got your answer to this but I'm about to release a new product called Kunaki Automation Magic that automates your Kunaki CD/DVD fulfillment with 1shoppingcart. It's a script that you upload to the host server where your website resides. Then you pull up the user interface and enter (or just copy and paste) the Kunaki and 1shoppingcart specific information that the script needs and that's it! All your orders for Kunaki products are automatically passed from 1shoppingcart to Kunaki for fulfillment. I have purchased a few scripts in the past that are supposed to automate Kunaki and 1shoppingcart that either don't work or you have to know how to modify the script code on setup and every time you want to add a new product. So I got frustrated and had my own product developed complete with a user interface that works exactly like I want it to. You can contact me for further information but it will be released as soon as I can get the sales page created.

Good stuff onesource, I did exactly the same thing in 2008 when I had my 1shoppingcart kunaki software created with an interface which sounds like yours works the same. Does it handle multiple item dispatch for selling item bundles?

          Hello Information Publishing,

Yes...it does handle standard and advanced bundles where 1shoppingcart allows you to bundle multiple products together as one offer. Thanks!

            Hello,

I have questions for both Onesource7 and Information Publishing.

Onesource7: When is your product going to be released? Is there a website? Will it be a one-time charge? Is it PHP or ASP based?

Will it have the ability to handle multiple SKUs?

Will it have the ability to handle an order where some of the items require Kunaki fulfillment and others do not?

Information Publishing: Does your software have the ability to handle multiple SKUs?

Does your software have the ability to handle an order where some of the items require Kunaki fulfillment and others do not?

Why is your software charged on a monthly basis? Do you have any access to the order data? Is it PHP and/or ASP based?

            Thank you both.

More questions for OneSource and Information Publishing:

How do your scripts handle shipping - costs and type?

For instance, if my business is based in the US and I have a customer that is in Japan, is the customer able to link to the Kunaki shipping options for Japan? Or, does something else happen (for example, do I arbitrarily set a fixed shipping fee in 1shoppingcart and then pay for any actual (Kunaki) shipping cost in excess of that?

Also, does the customer get any choice as to the speed/type of shipping? Kunaki does give a number of different options (each with a different cost). Is a customer who ordeers at 1shoppingcart given any options as to type of shipping?

              Thanks.

              Bill

                Hi biz123,

Kunaki Automation Magic allows the customer to select what shipping method in Kunaki they want to use. The domestic options are USPS First Class (Media Mail for more than 4 pieces), UPS Ground and Fedex Guaranteed 3 day. For International, the option is Air mail. The defaults are USPS First Class (Domestic) and Airmail (International). So you should account for whatever shipping method you want to use as your default in your product pricing in 1shoppingcart.

The shipping option you use dictates how quickly the package will get delivered.

Hope this helps. Pleease let me know if you have additional questions.
