RESPONSE TO Allen's thread - Anyone else here have killer tendonitis in your mouse arm?

Hey Warriors,

I read Allen's thread and realised that many of you are faced
with this problem in one form or the other. So I decided to start
another thread so that you would all see it.....

Sorry I should have posted the link to Allen Grave's thread, here it is:
http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...mouse-arm.html

Let me just state that I'm NOT a medical practitioner of any
sort.....(disclaimer out of the way)

Right now let's talk about these problems:

1. one is Repetitive Strain Injury
This is brought on by any repetitive action over a sustained
period of time. Anyone engaged in using their hands to perform
repetitive tasks such as:
-playing piano
-computer work
-typing
-mechanical tasks

In jobs like:
-butchers
-mechanics
-sportsman/women

2. The other is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
This is similar to RSI but is also brought on by other causes:
- pregnancy
- certain sports
- malformation of wrist bones

OK we've got the medical stuff out the way....

Now to the solution:

There is one proven solution out there that has been mostly
misunderstood and misrepresented. It has been sold as a gadget
and as a result the medical success of the product is only now
being talked fully researched and discussed.

I have been using and selling the product for over 3 years BUT
because I respect this forum I will not give you my webpage link.
I will however, give you the website for the supplier that I
deal with in Ireland.

I was suffering with tendonitis in my elbow caused by using an
angle grinder for 2 days. On the third day, I could barely open
my hand to extend my fingers. I couldn't twist a door handle
or shake someone's hand. This went on for two years. I had a
couple of sessions of physio and a couple of cortisone injections
as well. The injections provided temporary relief (3-4 weeks).

I was due to have the tendonitis operation when I came across
this product.

That was 3 years ago.....

I haven't had the operation and the symptoms have completely
disappeared.

I have clients who have had conditions such as:
- tennis/golfers elbow
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- RSI
- shoulder problems
-and others who have had various arm operations and bone breakages
that have all used this product with great success.

I can say with a certain amount of optimism that consistent
use of this product will alleviate and heal any of the conditions
that I have mentioned.

Have a look at NSD Powerball Gyroscope
for sports and fitness, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, tendonitis,
wrist pain and grip strength
and check it out...

I'm looking forward to hearing about your relief of the symptoms
and causes when you get your product.

Don't go and look for cheap and nasty look-a-like products out
there.....you'll waste your time and money.....

Hope this will help you...

Regards

Greg

    Thanks for the info.

    Just an advise.
I think it would useful to put a URL to Allen's thread so people understand what you are referring to.

Well, I have some tendonitis in that arm, but that's been happening since before I was an IMer. I had Carpal Tunnel surgery in both wrists a couple of years ago and still have some weakness and now some tendonitis in my arms.

Not the answer you were looking for, I'm sure. :p

          Hey Angela,

I personally have worked with a bike mechanic who had the surgery
as well. He was told that he had to be off work for 3 months.
After using the Powerball for a couple of weeks, he was able
          to start work again.

One thing we have found, is that if you have CTS, regular use
of the Powerball will prevent further occurence.

It will also alleviate the other pains that you are currently
          experiencing.....give it a try.

          Regards

Hi Greg, I can totally understand your pain...
I was at the point that I couldn't even turn on a tap...I had to palm my two hands against the tap to turn it on. And door knobs...yep, same thing.

    I solved my problem myself.
Mine was from drumming over 25 years. At the time I was on tour for months on end playing one niters.

I remember a great drummer, Buddy Rich saying to lower the cymbals and play more with your writs.

After doing that and tucking my arms in closer to my body, I started to feel results within a few months.

I thought this method would compromise by playing but it actually improved it.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say here is...do a repetitive thing in a different way or an easier way.

I don't know about the mouse problem because I use the touch pad on the computer, but if I was getting the elbow pain again, I would change the way the mouse was positioned and try other angles and methods of using it.

Good luck to all that have this problem.

    -Steve

        Hey Sham,

Never looked at the research myself, but I have personally dealt
with over a hundred people suffering from one form of symptom
        or another.

The most amazing success that I was fortunate to be involved
with was for this young woman who was an epileptic and also suffered
with serious muscle spasm (can't think of the medical term right
        now) down her left side.

After a couple of months of using the Powerball, the frequency
of her epileptic fits had slowed dramatically and the
severity of the muscle spasms had eased.

I went with her to see her Neurologist and he was totally amazed
by the improvement of her EEG graphs compared to six months previously.
He suggested that I try and get a university involved to do live
trials but eventually the red tape involved just put me off.....

I have so many success stories....

Looking forward to hearing about how this product helps you guys
        and girls...

Yeah man, these things are great! I've had one for sometime now and simply love it.

I also have one of those squeese ball things you get at the hospital. They don't work as well, but they help to excercise your fingers and inner hand.

Btween the two, I haven't had a problem one in over 2 yrs. Can't beat that!

    Good recommendation kid!

      Hey Mary,

Good to know that you've had success with the Powerball...

Just adds weight to what I have found personally...

      Here is another testimonial:

For over 3 months, a lady at the golf driving range was suffering
with golfers elbow. She was in constant pain and was trying all
      sorts of remedies....

Within 3 weeks of using the Powerball, the pain had disappeared
      completely.

You show me any other remedy that gives you that kind of help
      for any of these symptoms.

Without the recommendations here, I would have dismissed this as a gimmick or a scam.

But with those testimonials and a price of only around $25 I'm gonna go for it. Heck, it would be better than a bunch of trips to the doctor only to have the tendon sliced in the end.

        Thanks!

          Hey Allen,

Unfortunately, the Powerball was originally sold in toy shops. It is only in the very recent past that it has begun to be recognised as a powerful therapeutic device.

Go for it, you'll be pleasantly surprised....

As a byproduct, you'll find that your coordination, flexibility, dexterity and strength will improve....

I have had great success using chiropractic therapy. It treats my shoulder issues as well as my neck and back. I did have to go through a couple of odd ball chiropractors before I found the one that worked for me so just remember to keep your mind open.

      Hey Jamie,

      You're absolutely right....

We have many chiropractors and physiotherapists who use the Powerball
and recommend it to their patients....

It's not meant to replace what they can do for you but more to
augment the work that they are doing....

      Hey John,

Thanks for the question, here is an explanation of the models:

If you are looking for a straight forward Powerball without any
bells and whistles, go for the 250Hz Model. This is the fastest
Gyroscope out of all the models available (all the world records
      are set with this model).

If you want a bit of "bling", go for the Neon range, which basically
has neon lights which are powered by the movement of the gyroscope.
however, the lights do nothing but add a bit of entertainment
      factor....

For both ranges, you can add the Multifunction speedometer which
gives you a precise count of how fast the Powerball is going.

As far as I'm concerned, I would buy the counter because I'm
very competitive and want to see how I'm progressing from week
      to week...

If you need any further help let me know...

      Regards

      Greg

Yeah ......... make sure you know exactly the root of your tendonitis problem before going out and buy any strengthening or training product.

I took one look at that Gyroscope thingy and went, "Owwww!!" Such a beast would do major damage to my wrists, not help them.

When this all started for me, the docs could not figure out why my wrists did not respond well to strengthening? - I was a fluke of nature to them. It was only the last doc (one of the Green Bay Packers' consulting orthopedic surgeons at the time -- can you tell I was getting desperate?!) who figured out the bone-spacing problem, who said be really careful using stuff like that.

I said, funny enough, that's what I've discovered ... when my wrists are good and I do strengthening exercises, it has no bearing on preventing the flare-ups, or reducing their length. And it seems like sometimes the exercising triggers flare-ups, and makes the flare-up longer-lasting and more painful.

He said, YEP, that's right. Exercise ONLY to the intensity and level you are physically comfortable, but when *anything* feels uncomfortable or hurts, STOP.

Since I took his advice, my flare-ups have been less frequent, shorter, and easier to bear. I guess I just needed to accept my wrists as being "the way they are" and stop trying to be someone I wasn't built to be.

There are some activities I just cannot do. I'd rather not do them, and be pain-free, than try to shove a round peg in a square hole and be hurting all the time.

I'm not saying that this is the case for everyone. I'm just cautioning that this is NOT a one-size-fits-all problem. There are lots of causes, including structural and chemical issues with the body, and some of them are kinds of things that only true specialists will find. Please be careful. Don't hurt yourself in the course of trying to make yourself better.

      Hey Bailey,

I couldn't agree with you more!!!!!

You are 100% right with your advice and I must endorse what you
are saying in terms of getting expert medical advice
if you have a serious problem...

However, and maybe this is my fault for not mentioning this earlier,
the Powerball is a non-impact exercise instrument.
What I mean is, it doesn't put any strain on the muscles, tendons
      or ligaments.

The benefit is that you can use the Powerball even if you are
hurting or have an injury. And I quote what your doctor said:

He said, YEP, that's right. Exercise ONLY to the intensity
and level you are physically comfortable, but when *anything*
      feels uncomfortable or hurts, STOP.

I have had people who have had surgery on their wrists and forearms
begin to use the Powerball very slowly at first. You see the
activity promotes increased blood flow and light exercise to
the affected areas. The recovery times have been greatly improved.

Again, I'm not a medical doctor or practitioner of any sort.
All I can relay to you is the success that I have witnessed myself,
in my family and in customers who have bought the product.

I'm not even talking about those successes that have been experienced
      in the sports arenas.

      Regards

I thought I had tentonitis or tennis elbow or whatever else you can call it. Pain thru my shoulder, down my arm & into my hand & pins & needles 24/7 - I put up with it for 3 years thinking it was just from waaayyyy too much computer work. Finally went to the docs & it turned out my spinal cord was being crushed in my neck & I was one sneeze away from a wheelchair. I was operated on 2 days after they discovered it. (the day before they diagnosed me I'd been at a massive water park here in Queensland & spent the day on the most gruesome rides - you know the ones with the "people with back problems shouldnt ride". LOL - Glad I didnt know 'bout my back.

I had surgery on my spine earlier this year & no probs.

Moral of the story - please get your doc to check it out - you never know.

      Hey Ernie,

      That's great....

I know that you have been suffering with pains in your arms for some time now and you have made a wise choice.

When you get the Powerball, just start slowly so that your hands, wrists and forearms get used to the therapeutic motion of the gyroscope. Soon you will be able to crank up the speed....just be patient.

It becomes extremely addictive....which I make no apologies for...enjoy!

Let me know how it goes...

      Regards

      Greg
