It's great that you are doing things so you should feel
    good about that.

I have been affiliate marketing for 20+ years and it can
be as easy as promoting Amazon products on FB and
IG with paid ads, but it doesn't always work like magic.

You heard about other people making so much money,
which may or may not be true, so you thought it would
    work but it didn't.

It cost you money that you can't afford to lose when you
are trying to make a profit, but that happens, it is a part
    of the learning curve.

ICYMI, asking family members to buy your thing could
cause problems with Amazon. If you continue affiliate
marketing do not allow that to happen again.

Why is there a deduction for personal use of the program?

You need to learn some other strategies and you might
do better with social media, blogging, writing, videos, or
    a combination of methods.

When I started, I set up websites to promote Clickbank
products, I didn't buy ads at all, I got organic traffic and
people bought the thing(s) because they were looking
    for them.

This simple method doesn't work so easily because it is
more saturated and competitive today which makes it
    difficult for beginners.

Don't give up, keep working at it because it will be worth
    it when done correctly.

Go back to the drawing board, read a book, watch some
videos, take a course, and keep working at it until you
    figure it out.

      Honestly, thank you
I am now currently sat on 1300 clicks and still no buys! If you could point me in the right direction, which direction would it be? Facebook ads? Website? It has only been a week so I might be being impatient lol I have tried promoting trending products that are not expensive and vise versa. Thank you again

        You are very welcome.

If I were you, I would STOP the ad campaign ASAP.

Then I would re-read the last sentence of my previous post.

I agree with you 100% we need to learn and figure out instead of burning money. I got tons of traffic but no sales in all products. Amazon commission is also not good compare to other affiliate programs. I burn my day and night to watch videos and tried to read books still I think I am newbie even some sales. It is not so easy that people say as I did setup my own hand.

    I might be being impatient
How do you decide what is 'trending'? Most affiliate marketers who sell into trends already have a sales process in place - a high traffic blog or identified target market, etc. Competition for 'trending products' is very high.

It has only been a week
Let me guess - you thought you would advertise some links and the sales would roll in. It is easy to think that if you've been reading the 'make money online' stuff.

This simple method doesn't work so easily because it is
more saturated and competitive today which makes it
    difficult for beginners.

Don't give up, keep working at it because it will be worth it when done correctly. That said, you are doing something right if your ads are generating clicks.

Go back to the drawing board, read a book, watch some
videos, take a course, and keep working at it until you
    figure it out.
There is no way - in 24 hrs - that you followed the advice above. Your impatience is hurting you.

A lot of good advice already given...

but, you do know on FB over 50% of all your clicks are from bots, right?

It's not like it used to be.

    Good luck.

Added: What the 'gurus' do now is start a post in their own group...then boost it. It looks like a ton of likes, but actually, those were all from their group. So, consider starting your own FB group.

If you send 999 people to an offer an no one buys then you might be sending the wrong people.

What I mean by this is; your ad needs to match the desire of the perfect avatar that NEEDS what you have on offer.

You could likely get clicks from cat lovers but when you send them to a dog food offer they don't buy.

Look at who your ad is attracting, who are you speaking to in the ad?

Does your avatar NEED this product or service or is it casual desire?

Is it a product where you compete on price but don't have the best price?

These are but a few things to look at.

    Hey, I feel your pain.

I am not an affiliate marketer but had to put my "affiliate marketer hat" on for a site I am managing. The site already has HUGE volume of traffic (98% US) but having the same problem: little conversions/sales.

In my case (if it gives any inspiration):
    1. I have a very specific topic on the site (therefore audience/traffic)
    2. I have refined the ad´s copy to make it straight forward and very clear (no click-bait, not deceiving) to improve clicks-to-sales.
    3. I have linked the ads to competing/similar products with their respective landing pages to compare their conversion and rule out a poor landing page.
Yet conversions (for all) are far from what I expected.

If the products/services I´m advertising on the site are not that appealing to my audience, and the copy is very clear/direct (e.g. "Buy XYZ in this link") why am I getting clicks and no sales?

Confused as you are... just sharing the pain.

Maybe you need to check your TARGETING to make sure you are targeting the right market.

See if you are not targeting the right market, you won't make any money.
