Updated Marketplace validity rules

This supersedes the rule update we made in January 2022.

To keep the Warrior Forum Marketplace fresh and updated with new listings, we're implementing new validity limitations:
  • WSOs are valid for 6 months from date of posting. After 6 months, they will be closed but will remain accessible to the public.
  • Paid listings under the Warrior Classifieds, Warriors For Hire, Other Website Products & Services, Wanted - Members Looking to Hire You, Web Hosting Offers, and Affiliate Program Database are valid for 3 months from the date of posting. After 3 months, they will be closed but will remain accessible to the public.

This will only apply to listings created from September 18, and will not apply to all other listings retroactively. That means that if you paid for a WSO listing in Sept 17, 2024, that WSO will be valid until Sept 17, 2025.

FAQs

Why are you doing this?
This new update will ensure that the Warrior Marketplace will always have the newest and freshest offers available for members and the general public.

What happens to new listings?
This applies to paid marketplace listings created on or after September 18. If you paid for a listing on the Classifieds section, say September 20, your listing is valid until December 20. Your listing will be closed, and you won't be able to edit your listing, however it remains viewable.

What if I want to extend the validity of my listing?
We don't offer validity extensions, even if a member is willing to pay for it.

We will tweak and update this rule as needed, and we'll update everyone whenever we make changes.

Thank you!

I grasp and understand and respect the idea of keeping the forum updated with new fresh listing and offers .

    Here's my question .

Any listing created prior to sept 18 th will be valid for a year and and any listing created after the 18 th is valid for 3 Months which means the newer offers will expire first .

Doesn't that some what defeat the purpose?

Good point. I'll discuss this internally.

      Thanks

Those prior to Sept 18 were ads sold as valid for one year...we can't change that agreement after the fact so there will be overlap for a time.

Prior to the current Admin - there was no time limit for ads. I'm happy to see Enzo is making changes with the goal of improving the Marketplace for both buyers and sellers.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

  • In my opinion, these are absolutely reasonable and fair rules. I fully support your decision
