Dreamweaver & Fireworks - cheap copies?

I'm looking into getting both of these programs but I'm trying to steer clear of full retail price. Does someone perhaps know of a place where you can get older versions for cheap? If not I wouldn't mind getting the newest versions, but I just wanna catch a deal here to save a few bucks.

Darn Mark beat me to it. I would also suggest Ebay as thats where I got my copy of VB6 Pro when I needed to upgrade from VB3

Take a look at eBay for version 8 when it was still Macromedia as this was the best version: quick install, didn't mess with the master boot record and not bloated. Adobe really screwed things up when they killed MM in my opinion.

A dreamweaver install modifies the master boot record?

The Adobe line does and I never could get the trials to work. Any of the CSX lines I would stay away from, they take forever to install and load on even a fast computer.

What kind of modifications do they do to the MBR? I find it hard to believe that they make any modifications. Are you using warez versions?

IMHO, it was a sad day when MM got acquired by adobe.

Nope. Don't need it, thanks! I learned this jazz by actually doing the coding, so all I need is Inkscape (vector graphics), Aptana (Code) and Paint.net (Raster). All I know is on a fresh trial install once I did install it wouldn't run.
