Is having website analytics tool installed on your website helping you with marketing ?

Hey guys, i have a few websites that are doing conversions. And I am currently using google analytics for my analytics. But since the GA4 got switched from the google universal analytics I find it super hard and confusing to use.

So I tried to research a few google analytics alternatives. I found prettyinsight sand plausible and a few others.

Does anyone have any experience with google analytics alternatives ? I want to use other functions as well, that shows me conversions, and customer journey. Playsible doesn't have that but prettyinsights have it, so I'm not sure if this is really necessary from the marketing standpoint.

    Hey

You can try Matomo. It's open-source and gives you a lot of control over your data. It also has features for conversions and customer journeys.

GA4 can definitely be a headache, especially after Universal Analytics. If conversions and customer journey tracking are your priority, try Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) with custom dashboards or Mixpanel - it's great for user behavior analytics. Another option is Piwik PRO if you're looking for something similar to the old GA but with a simpler interface.

Matomo is a solid choice, especially if data privacy is a priority. Have you found its reporting as detailed as GA4? I've heard it can take some time to set up, but the control over data is definitely a plus!

yes it is as a marketer you should be tracking everything, and the same for a website you can see what blogs/articles are working, and even what pages they access most so scale certain things up, and also change things if they are not working

I also think having good product analytics is also important. Because with accurate data, you can identify what's working, where users drop off, and how to improve everything. Thats why i was looking for product analytics features too, but im still analyzing my options for now.

It is. Having a website analytics tool installed on your site is incredibly helpful for marketing. It provides valuable insights into how visitors are interacting with your site, including where they come from, which pages they visit, how long they stay, and where they drop off.
