I didn't know there was a Wordpress.com AND a Wordpress.org. I created a WP blog at the .com site, not knowing that plugins weren't allowed. I tripped over this for the longest time, figuring out how to set up a certain component, when - well damn! - no plugins allowed, those are only reserved for Wordpress.ORG.
