They have EXCELLENT service in my experience!

I am used to folks with email problems in my non-computer/internet/technical niches...

Pretty funny that all of these IMers can't seem to get a handle!

    Ditto, ditto, ditto...

I have this problems too when I completed all the orders and sent them the completion email. They can come back to me to complain saying that they did not receive anything.

And that's the email they specify as the communication email!

I did the same as you do, refund the orders. That will get their attention.

Mike, for whatever it's worth, I have the same problem. Fortunately, all my
products are digital downloads sent via DLGuard so they should have no
      problem getting the product.

But...when it comes to sending emails of thanks, or additional info that they
may need, forget it. I have to just hope that I hear from them because there
is no way I can reach these people.

One member here (no, I won't mention the name) writes to me, but when I
reply back, the email doesn't go through because their spam filter is set so
      damn high.

      Yes, it is VERY frustrating.

Kind of a sidebar, I can't emphasize enough how integral Gmail and Google Apps are in my IM'ing (and businesses in general). With a single Gmail account, I get email from 12 different accounts ranging from personal to my businesses to client projects. I also use this single Gmail account to send emails from each of these accounts. It doesn't get any easier than that. It even makes using an iPhone drop-dead simple.

If you haven't already looked into using Google Apps for your individual domains, you absolutely should. It's free, easy, and there are dozens of strategies and business automation hacks you can use to make your life simpler.

I thought Big Mike was talking about me since I chose Aaarrrggghhh as my username - lol!

Google Apps is awesome and yes, it really is very frustrating when the person selling you something does not have their email right, or set wrong, or used the wrong email and they inform you they didn't get your email? Funny how you got my money tho - yea right. Refund.

Talk about leaving money on the table

LOL I had 3 emails come back because the emails did not exist . I don't get it but keeping them up to date is rather simple I fail to understand why that would be an issue but it appears to happen to lots of folks. Geesh what a deal.

      Mike,

Sometimes you can find the correct email address from looking at the headers of the email. Not always, but sometimes.

Might help with a few of the less maintenance-inclined...

Mike, your tech support for Image Guard several weeks ago was
first class and very much appreciated.

I did receive your reply to my question earlier this week, and it
    basically cleared-up everything.

    Plus your s/w is great.

    Thanks!

I'd like to add to the list:

      Hisssssss.....

Auto-nuke. Almost as quickly as SpamArrest users who never check to update their filters. And people who send auto-responses to all mail, to let you know they will reply to you within xyz hours. Those usually have pitches on them, but that's not the problem. I don't want a copy of my newsletter back for every person who subscribes...

Oh, yeah... And the ones who reply in both plain text and RTF/HTML mail, with a full copy of the original, in order to say 12 words to you. If that weren't so clearly a matter of not knowing what they were doing, I'd reply with excessive extemporaneous excoriation, burning the electronic ears off their northward extremities.

Ditto Big Fella...another "email peeve" is those who sign up for your mailing list using an account that requires you to verify you're a real person. You signed up for my list, my thank you page tells you how to whitelist me, don't make me jump through your spam hoops to send you an email you wanted.

Oh wait, I have one more email peeve!

Every time I send a mailing out, I get probably 100-125 "out of office" replies. Don't need 'em. Don't want 'em. Get one email address for the mailing lists you subscribe to and don't use it for anything else.

    Well now, I feel better.

I have 3 email accounts: 1 for personal, 1 for business and 1 for the internet to register to lists and marketers auto responders. I have had these for years and never change them.

I like to keep my personal email separate from business because I find it easier for me to manage. The internet email box is probably the busiest and the one I check the least, maybe once in a couple of days. I also filter my important inbox emails into specific folders that I can quickly scan.

I find that this cuts down on my time since I am keeping everything specific and I can stay current with problems in my business without any distractions.

I have friends who have 1 email for everything. When they get tired of receiving too much into the email box they just abandon it and move to another.

And, if you already guessed these friends have the most problems online because they miss important emails that got lost in the inbox or sent to an abandon account.

I guess it does better than the others but quite a few times gmail has taken one of my more important emails that I was actually waiting for and sent it to spam. I do check that folder about every third time I check my email and think that is a really good habit to get into.
