How do I record a live GoToWebinar?

Hi,

I am receiving a series of free webinars and I have been trying to take notes on just the power point outline that is on-screen. The webinar host said he will not be sharing the recording of this webinar series with us. I would like to have the copies for my own review, so I don't miss anything. I am interested in getting the audio and the power point, if possible. Any ideas?

  • These are all valid ways of recording your screen.

However, if the presenter does not give you permission to record the webinar what you are doing may be illegal.

    • Illegal?

If it is for your own personal use and you don't distribute it? I am not a lawyer but I would think unless they have a stated policy about it I think you would be ok.

Now if you record it to release later as a product.. thats another story entirely.

Some seminars specifically state you cannot record them. I don't think I have ever seen a webinar where they did though it could happen.

Just look at baseball. You can record it but don't dare use it anywhere else. And they have probably the toughest policy around.

  • Camstudio or Camtasia will do just fine.
  • I always record webinar with a web-based software calls Acethinker Online Screen Recorder, It's a free web-based application to record computer screen right from the browser.
  • I have a firefox add-on called video downloader professional. Although I have never recorded a webinar I have been able to record every video I want with the click of a button. I am sure that Google Chrome and Internet Explorer also have add-ons that do the same
